More than a 2 way shot in 9ball?

Has anyone here ever had a 2 way+ shot as in a 3way?, 4way? I am not talking about a blasting of the balls and hoping something goes in I am talking about a controlled shot in which you know where all the balls are going but there are more than 2 possibilities. I know this may be a little tough...

    Hard vs soft hitting sticks

1st order of business for me would be to change the tip to a med or soft and see how you like it.

Jumping---to chalk or not to chalk

To call or not to call the 9

I think you are confused as to the difference between: 1. Call shot 2. Call the 9 3. Don't have to call anything In 9ball in the scenario you described if you were playing 1. Call shot and called the 3 and the 9ball dropped you would either lose or spot the 9; if you called the 9 you would...

Jumping---to chalk or not to chalk

A pechauer jump comes with a leather tiger tip by default.

Opinions on buying a "specialized" jump cue?

Depends on how hard you can hit a pack IMHO.

Opinions on buying a "specialized" jump cue?

Would you describe yourself as a "power" or "precision" breaker?

    Breaking with your LD cue

Depends on the break, I do the 8ball break with my I-2 when I am trying for the 8ball; but that is not a "breaking force" shot. Breaking cues are for breaking; there is no way that I can hit a pack as hard with my shooter as I can with either of my breakers so it comes down to why are you...

To call or not to call the 9

That's a shame; as I said "if you watch this it might change your mind" I agree I agree except for the underlined part. I agree I agree I agree No game has to decide that IMHO all games should be for everyone to play from novice to pro. You lose the purpose in playing 9ball if you do that...

    Have at me! :)

Outstanding Any seeable progress is good, wait till you get to be good "seeable progress" will become illusive. That's too bad but any time you can spend you can make the most out of (more on that later) True to an extent. Here is what I said in another post, it might help you also; I know...

To call or not to call the 9

I suggest you watch the entire video of the Bustamante vs. Immonen match; it may change your mind If you have this view of infallibility/near-infallibility: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XSFlXCCQYug 1. 0:43 2. 0:53 3. 1:18 4. 1:58 5. 4:22 Will change your mind. It doesn't to me either but...

    McDermott ng05?

I have an NG-03, 3 of my former students now have stingers an NG-01, NG-02 and an NG-05. I have tried them all and I can tell you you are going to LOVE this stick. It is accurate & powerful, there just hasn't been anything that I have tried that has even come close (so far).

To call or not to call the 9

I wish people wouldn't want to play 8ball & 9ball all the time. If I had my pick we would just play 14.1 and if we didn't have time for that just play a few games of 1-Pocket and if we are a group with only 1 table we play king of the hill 10ball, this is "living in a dream world"; people want...

Rep must not mean anything !!!

I just figured out how to check my "rep" an hour ago been on here for 3 months. To quote a wise little bear "I am just a little bear and not very bright"; rep I dunno but it seems as though it's one of those things that only comes into play when there is a real a$$h843 out there. Look at my all...

Jumping---to chalk or not to chalk

You need both overhand and underhand jump shot technique, I am of the opinion that the default should be underhand. You shoot pool underhand so why not jump underhand by default? I have taught many people how to jump and I know that it is easier to get over the ball when starting out overhand...
