Have to correct you there. The only 8ball tournament in American 8-ball for Europe is the annual European Championship. Thats it. In that tournament each country have two or three slots.

Making the corner ball on the break Sometimes the table / racking / player racking abilities allows the corner ball to go in the pocket on your break. IMO that ruins the whole game, its not one-pocket if you run out from your break... It should be rerack and open again if the corner ball goes...

This is not a World Championship, and WPA is pissed about the whole thing. They feel that this tournament can spoil their efforts to arrange a "true" WC with enough added money. IF there is a full field, and all players pay the fee of +500 USD, added money is still just around 10.000 USD...

Perhaps someone whispered in his ear that he should delete his statement. Pool world is small, a player can't afford to slam the door on the way out. I am somewhat surprised that three of the five are UK guys. Leaving Hohmann out is just wrong

I like the wildcard idea, that would help a lot. There are flaws in the European selection also. The strongest team would IMO be Appleton, Immonen, Hohmann, Feijen and Souquet - but that will not happen due to ranking issues and players not participating on Eurotour. I fear that e.g. Hohmann...
