LOADED Alpert for sale - bridged veneers, lots o' ivory, bumperless hoppe

"an opportunity to regain possession of a cue I shouldn't have sold" There's something funny about these words. Oh well probably just me. :p

Highly Recomend - Joe @ Nielsens Bliiards!!!

I've ordered cues from him on a couple of occasions. He gives the best price and service to match.

    Reducing deflection

Slimming the radius from 13 to 12.7 will reduce the volume by a little less than 5%. Also, I believe I remember reading that Low deflection shafts only reduce the deflection by about a third. You may have had to compensate a little less for your LD shaft, and that may have improved your game a...

Sneaky Petes!!! Josey, Pechauer, Little Al Romero or Putnam???

Of those, I have a Pechauer and a Josey, and for me it's the Josey hands down. If your looking for a really stiff hit, Pechauer fits the bill nicely, but the Josey just feels right to me. If you decide on Pechauer, I've got a top shelf one that I would sell at the upper end of your budget...

    Josey Or Arnot?

A wise choice my friend. Spending a little more and getting what you really want to begin with will actually save you money and be better than wondering if you're making the right choice. be sure to share some pics when you get it.

    Josey Or Arnot?

I'm going to pipe back in here because Poolplaya9's Josey experience is not at all like mine. My cue is a 2003 and maybe that has something to do with it. The hit was summed up as: "stiff, zero flex feel, with a brief sharp vibration and a loud tink" If that is what you like I really wouldn't...

How to properly order a cue?

With your budget you should have no trouble getting what you want and getting it stupid fancy as well. There are a lot of cuemakers in Florida some very well regarded. Perhaps you should meet and interview a few of them to get their opinions on what would suit you and test out their work.

How to properly order a cue?

Since no one's answered yet I'll jump in. You'll probably get a lot of different answers, but here's my opinion. Length: Largely depends on how low your stance is and how long your bridge is. My wingspan is 6'2", and for me 60" is about right. I prefer cues that are made with the same...

    Josey Or Arnot?

I have no experience with Arnot cues, but I have a 60" Josey with timeless timber and nothing else I've hit comes close. My balance is at 18". I don't know what other people mean by soft versus stiff hitting cues exactly, but when I think of soft hitting I think of a meucci where it feels like...

    Where to play in Nashville

JOB billiards is the best with lots of well maintained diamond tables. Buffalo billiards has Brunswick and Olhausen tables with slow, pilly, napped cloth, but an endless supply of yuppies and bangers. It's all about your patience level and intention.

    Better Player Question

Nothing I've found hits sweeter and feels better in my hands than my Josey sneaky with a timeless timber shaft. I also like the way Pierce cues hit and have a pretty fancy one on the way. But, I think cues are very much like shoes, you have to find the one that fits and not just get what...

    Bowling Alley Shafts???

That's a very interesting post qbilder. I would have thought it better, the logic being that after 60 years of aging in who knows what environment all the wood that was straight and nicely grained for a shaft would unquestionably make a great shaft, even if it is a low yield. I don't really...
