Unfortunately, I think you will still be a bit short on width to shoot certain shots comfortably using a regular cue stick if you change out to an 8' table. You only gain 6" by switching to an 8' table. I'm right there with you and feel your pain. I had to go with a 7' bar box in my basement...

He breaks hard I like him too. I watched a couple of his matches in Vegas and I think he's mainly complaining because he has a very strong break. The soft break takes away some of his advantage.
