Seeing FARGORATE stuff makes me wonder

It is wins and losses but it's compared against all the data, so it's intended to be completely unbiased as far as gender goes. It could be that the player you're talking about is currently overrated (as many of you seem to think), but that will shake itself out in the long run and the numbers...

Seeing FARGORATE stuff makes me wonder

Just curious, do you think Fargorate somehow prohibits this from happening? Fargorate has nothing to do with the question of tournaments being co-ed or not, it's a rating system. If tournament directors/organizers decided to forgo the gender separation that currently exists (kind of like the...

    Female with 790 FargoRate

I'd love to see this and I'd be betting on her. Not saying Chinohov isn't tough but 50 to 100 is a big spot for someone that plays close to 800. I guess what you're saying is that she's highly overrated and he's highly underrated. Even if she "really" plays like a 750, he would have to...

AutoCAD or Revit blocks of Diamond Pool tables?

Does anyone on the forum have a good block (2d or 3d but 3d would be preferred) of a 7' and a 9' Diamond table that they wouldn't mind sending me? If so, please PM me and I'll get you my email. I have generic pool tables, looking specifically for Diamond tables. Thanks.

Yes, for the time being I do. I switched to a Predator Victory Medium tip. I understand they come with the Victory soft tip installed, but I wanted to try the Medium since I used to play with a hard tip forever. So far so good, no mushrooming or deforming. I can't tell if the tip is flattening...

Nice review. I agree with just about everything you wrote but I was coming off using a standard shaft for roughly 30 years so the learning curve was tough. With the revo, that parallel shift aiming technique is really coming in handy for me. The biggest difference other than the low deflection...

    The long race myth

What makes a player better than someone else is the rate at which they make errors (in a general sense). The better player makes less errors per hour, for discussion's sake, than the weaker player. You are assuming that the better player will somehow start making more errors per hour than they...

    The long race myth

I haven't read the responses yet but I think you're wrong. You make an assumption that the better player is somehow working harder mentally in order to play better (that's my interpretation of what you wrote). I would say that not true. Better players are able to play at a higher level and...

    carbon fiber shafts

That's an interesting point that took me a few days to figure out when I switched. I have a pretty short bridge length typically (6"-8") and noticed through trial and error that the revo "seemed" to be more forgiving if I lengthened my bridge.

Yes, squirt terminology has greatly advanced since the RSB days :)

    Revo Revo revo

I've been reading these revo threads with interest as I just recently (about a month into it now) switched to a 12.4mm revo myself. This whole debate seems to boil down to two arguments: -Cost and is it a fad or not -Performance To the cost/fad objectors out there, who cares what people spend...

    Revo Revo revo

I don't know a lot about the CF mfg process(es) out there but I do know that what Predator decided to go with is not the same CF material you typically see in high end sports cars or racing cars and such. The CF they use for the revo is not a woven sheet material like you see in the automotive...

I just bought a new rugged case, so not custom, but my experience was great. I love my new understated black with white stitching case (all the bells and whistles included and with a back pack strap). He makes the best cases IMO and I've owned all kinds. Some may be fancier but none will protect...

    carbon fiber shafts

Maybe I wasn't clear. Let me try to explain my reasoning. I switched to a revo shaft knowing that it was going to require an overhaul in my game (aiming) mostly because I hate dings so much that the simple fact that the shaft will not ding up with normal use was enough for me to make the change...

    carbon fiber shafts

Well, I'm not there yet, but like I said, I can see the light at the end of the tunnel. I know this new (to me) method of aiming will pay dividends in the future. It has to, parallel shifting is just much simpler than trying to know all the different points along the arc that is a typical cue...

    carbon fiber shafts

Ok, will do, and when you figure out how to get a wood shaft to get to just about zero deflection, and no dings, you let me know :)

    carbon fiber shafts

Lol, right. Just like persimmon drivers are coming back and replacing the metal and hybrid drivers right? It's called progress, you can't stop it. I just recently switched to a revo from a southwest and while I'm definitely struggling to get used to it, I can see the light at the end of the...

Let’s see your Revo shafted cues!

Current set up Here's my current set up... It's temporary as I'm having a butt made for it by Jeff at AE Cues. Can't wait for that, it's going to be California buck eye burl nose with a linen wrap all the way down to the butt cap, pure player. Right now the butt is my Ice Breaker 2, it's all...
