Breaking with playing cue... bad for cue?

Do you have pics of that? On the other hand. . .I think breaking with a player is fine. I have broke with players quite a bit. That said, in practice, trying to get the last mph out of my break, weird things have happened like my cue slipping out of my hand, tip breaking off, crazy miscues...

    What this world needs....tip!

I totally agree. I just am wondering how there can be sooooo many tips marketed in the same category. As a cuemaker, do you see how this makes any sense, especially considering how small the market is for tips is. This is the market: All the people in the world; pool players; own your own...

No tip is worth 4200 yen! I do know that! Anyone try the Tiger Onyx? I like their Emerald, but the green tint is weird on the wrong cue! Onyx vs Wizard...anyone compare? I think my personal player tip price limit is about $10-$15 USD each. I'd like $5 or less!

    What this world needs....tip!

What this world needs is another medium tip! Seriously, how many medium tips will pool players support? How can I a regular guy sort these into groups somehow to help me pick the right tip? How do you group/sort med tips and decide which one to use as a cuemaker, cue repairman or customer. How...

    new cue in new climate?

It might be fun to put some kind of temp gauge inside the box and control the temperature increase rate. Then you would know what rate the air in the box is increasing in temperature. Still, the cue will be slower to increase in temperature. Also, the cue maybe relatively warm, if it sat...

    What Woods Won't You....

Qbuilder, Thank you for your candid response. I guess I didn't think about how my direct question might cost someone business, if they said that they didn't like it, or they had experience with it moving. I was trying to get answers more like Maple/Purpleheart, etc can be used as is but...

Trust, related to stability, final cut figure appearance, etc? What do you do if your customer says, but I really want x wood for example? Especially with metal ringwork? Core? Add plastic in the ringwork?

    A simple Butterfly....

Maybe you should offer buyers from countries with ivory importation issues that you will help them plan a Phillippine vacation and shop tour! For example...fly in to Manilla, visit you at your shop, pick up cue, tour all the great pool halls, travel to a nice beach for a couple days and return...

    Weight forward cues?

Our very own Lee from Brianna made me a 20oz sneaky balanced at 20". I personally like weight forward in a break cue, but not so much in a shooter. In a shooter, it increaces weight on the bridge hand too much, IMO.
