Be Careful dealing with Shotmaker Aka Mark Roach

I think this matter is over with right? Thank you very much Monto for giving us fair warning about the failures in this transaction and your experiece with this buyer. You'll either get your butt or the insurance money, so you're not going to be out the $$$. The transaction went south because...

Be Careful dealing with Shotmaker Aka Mark Roach

This is why it is important when shipping something to also include in the terms where the FOB is. I have always been of the belief that if I sell someone something online and they would like to have it shipped to them, I'm doing that as a courtesy. They are free to come pick it up. As far as...

    no offense intended - but?

If you'd like to use Webster you can do that too. But you can't ignore the words "exertion" and "and" and define it as just skill. So let's see what Webster has for exertion... Definition: The act or instance of exerting; espeically : a laborious or perceptible effort Examples of exertion...

    no offense intended - but?

Is injury likely to occur while throwing something as hard as you possibly can? Uh, yeah. I didn't argue that spectacular feats of coordination and accuracy make something a sport. If that's your definition of a sport that you've rationalized in your head, then you can consider it a sport...

    no offense intended - but?

Really none of those are competitions that contain "an element of strenth and/or speed"? You might want to revisit your list and come back with one that makes sense.

    no offense intended - but?

Claiming that pool is a physical activity is ridiculous. Why do people have to try sooooo hard to get it defined as a sport? Is it less of a games if it isn't a sport? Bowling...not a sport. Just a game. Basically if you can't winded playing, it's not a sport, it's just a game. I...

    no offense intended - but?

A sport? No. A game? Yes. Sports are games played by athletes that include an element of strength and speed. It's certainly subjective whether you'd like to consider it a sport, but if you're saying the spelling bee isn't, then pool isn't.

    And compared to pool....?

    no offense intended - but?

I don't find it all that complicated. There's no way a game can be great without involving youth in it. In America you can generally only enter pool halls/bars if you are 21 or over. Where are the national Jr. Championships? Kids leauges? Forget it. Without young talent there won't be...

New Guy? Value of autographed balls.

Yeah, somewhere around $500 seems fair. I'd be interested at that price as a matter of fact. PM if he's interested in selling it.

Rules for Custom pool Room, ur opinion?

Okay, I'm getting the feeling this is a private pool room in your house? If that's the case, then write as many rules as you'd like and a poster is fine...haha. I thought you meant a pool room as in pool hall. Disregard my comments, lol.

Rules for Custom pool Room, ur opinion?

Did you build a pool hall or a place that you could preside over and set rules? Honestly, I don't disagree with your rules, but I'd laugh at that poster when I walk into a place. You are going to dictate to your patrons that are paying to use your tables what version of the rules will be used...

    Old hustler at hard times

I don't know who he is, but I've seen him playing in quite a few tournaments, probably about 3-4 years ago. I've definitely seen the guy that you are talking about playing at Hollywood Billiards, so I'm guessing he's from Southern California.

Last minute trip.. any help available?

Oh, I almost forgot...best trip I've ever done...you can go to eaglerider.com and make a reservation to rent a motorcycle and ride it down the 1 to LA. Return it in SF and you will have had a once in a lifetime experience.

Last minute trip.. any help available?

If I had the time that you have and I was visiting (instead of living here) I would probably do something along these lines... 4 days in SF - Big City, you won't even see it all in 4 days. See a game at SBC Park and enjoy the scenery. 2 days to get to LA - Not a lot to do along the central...

Oh and by the way, I thought that was you a long time ago, but didn't say anything for awhile. You're on RIU and others right?

    Cannabis, pool and life

I'm glad you have a positive outlook on it. I'm glad that you anxiety is lessening. Using a prescription drug to relieve the anxiety you get from not smoking pot would be pretty counterproductive. I can just see someone getting hooked on Ativan while trying to quit pot. That would be terrible.

    Paying Time

If I went into a pool hall and played against the owner I assume he's extended this invitation not because I'm a nobody noob that's never frequented his establishment. It's more than likely that I'm a regular and I see it as a gesture of gratitude. If I came up and the place was dead and I see...

    Cannabis, pool and life

Most adults over 40 can't remember a thing. It gets worse after 50, and let's not get into 60+. Getting old certainly isn't harmless. I smoke every day and I have a ridiculously good memory. There's a difference between a 'pothead' and a guy that smokes pot. I smoke pot every single day and...

    Cannabis, pool and life

Be glad you didn't quit cigarettes. I've smoked pot off and on (off when required for work or other reasons) and never found quitting difficult. I prefer not to quit, but if I have to it's slightly more than "uncomfortable" for a few weeks. Quitting cigarettes is a downright *****. I quit...
