    magic feather

I agree with you but the difference for me compared to the forums is that my magic feather is usually something about my physical game rather than something with aiming. If my stroke doesn't feel right my aiming doesn't matter, and if it feels on everything looks easy. So my magic feathers...

A nice stroke shot from DCC

Kinda like this one http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BcJ7cLZKsUY#t=45m18s Apparently that guy has served as Efren's coach at some point; I don't know the details.

C J Wylie controversy and TOI

CJ, from what I understand of your system, the key is staying near the center, maximizing the "mass" of the cueball, and getting angles without using spin. The feel that you are going after in the game is that of "heavy" contact between the cueball and object ball that comes with minimal use of...

What do Professional players do when they are out of the game?

Not to derail the thread but does anyone know what Troy Frank does these days? He was a top-tier talent not too long ago, and seemed pretty intelligent to boot.

Why do some get their panties in a bunch over equipment?

You know what else really grinds my gears? Aiming systems. Whats up with that? Also, how do you get more draw on the ball?

Who is the all-time, best shape player?

Surprised to see no mention of Steve Mizerak. He made his outs look easy as can be.

    Joss standard shaft

I play with an early 2000's Joss with the shaft turned down from 13.25 to 12.50. The newer Joss shafts I've played with have a short ferrule and a very different feel. I must admit I don't like the way the new ones play, but to each his own....

    Hamb it up!

Robert Byrne's books and Ray Martin's book both have a decent amount of material on caroms and combos. I've recently found that if I look at the contact point on the second object ball (the one being pocketed) during combos it increases my percentage, not sure if it works for everyone......

    question about the brain

I have a degree in this shit *****es! Also what is the point of this thread?

    question about the brain

The brain does not "stop working" during sleep. As you fall asleep, your brain progresses through several stages. During the "deepest" stage, REM sleep, your brain shows activity that is very similar to the sort of activity that occurs during wakefulness. So no, your brain does not stop...

Best pool match of all time!

The 2001 International Challenge of Champions with Chou Fong Pang vs. Bustamante where it came down to one rack and both were making phenomenal shots. Even though I feel like that tournament is not held in very high esteem by die-hard pool fans, I was just starting in the game and it was an...
