    A good compliment of your opponent, like "hey, your stroke is straight as an arrow tonight", or "man your fundamentals are spot on", usually gets him thinking about every move he is making. From there, it is all down hill for him.

    I think more than TOI that CJ was trying to let us know that it takes a certain stroke to execute TOI properly. Hitting the cue ball with TOI using a loose grip, gimpy wrist and a long follow through, is nothing more than inside english. TOI requires the "hammer stroke", the "cocked wrist"...

    Thanks for the reply Chuck. That is interesting, maybe a potential for the stainless joint to become a collector. I have acquired a a Segen cue recently and I am really enjoying it. Very nice hitting cue, so nice that I would like to add another to my collection.

    I have been looking at the new Segen cues for quite some time. Everything that I have read says that they come with a Elforyn joint and a Concentric pin. Was the cue that you have built with the 516 x 14 stainless joint or was it changed?

    I use a Schon CX04 and had no problem with removing the weight bolt. Large, slotted head, if I remember correctly.

    The game isn't played with the center of your tip, but the edge. That is why we all re-work the tip bevel to our liking.

    preventing cue theft

    I use a Bluetooth device called "Hipkey" that connects with my Iphone. Any movement with my case and my phone alarm goes off immediately.
