No, that would make him a golfer that had 21 holes in one, on a par 3. JS ran more balls than WM, 626 to his 526. It isn't about which one is a better pool player, it's about the high run.

The blade sits in the tool, there’s a machined notch to position it. The retainer has two holes for the screws and sits on top of the blade. Not sure if that helps, but it’s all I got!

Looks rather scary to me. For a bit more I’d go with a Taig based lathe. Cueman and Midamerica are two options from AZ members.

It worked well, it was a repeatable process with consistent results. With the big shaver I was always worried (didn’t happen) about damaging the ferrule.

I’ve had both. Never liked/got used to the Porper. I did a lot of tips with the Willards and it works well. Once I bought a lathe I sold the Willard’s.

I’ve had a lot of cues, but I think my dream cue is Mr. Huebler’s US Open cue. It’s the one I don’t think I could sell as long as I’m able to shoot pool. Coco, you’re really working the spell check this morning, any smoke coming from your computer/phone?

Bob Owen builds some nice cues, and I believe he does steel joints. Never shot with one, but I have always admired what he posts here. Sorry, I didn’t realize this was the “Ask a Cue maker“ forum, and I missed the few months turnaround criteria. But i do like the cues that Mr. Owen posts!
