    John Schmidt's 626

So you are saying Bob is in on the conspiracy, he’s a liar? I think you have much more “skin” in the game trying to debunk the record than Bob does when he just states his observations. I seen no agenda for Bob, but yours comes through loud and clear. You are just throwing random allegations...

Best "cheap" custom cue you've used?

I just sold one of those, 2 shafts and an extension. It would definitely qualify as an inexpensive player. It had a thin butt and played nicely.

Best "cheap" custom cue you've used?

Joey The least expensive best player I’ve had is a used Joey Bautista conversion I picked up to try one of his cues. Glad I did. I imagine the Jerry R cue posted earlier plays great, I always liked his cues and while they weren’t inexpensive, they often seemed under valued.

    Floor covering for basement

Carpet tiles too. I stained the concrete and put down some area rugs in other places. We shouldn’t get water in the basement, have a French drain and a backup sump pump, but I like the knowing that I can pull everything up if Needed.

    Paul Hubler Shaft Inserts

I measured some and the were around .308, both brass and steel. Interestingly one with a brass pin, thin veneers, and a delrin joint did measure.295.

Little late This is a bit late, but I don’t transfer the money out of PayPal until the buyer is happy. Easy to do a refund that way.

    Where's Glen Hancock (Therealkingcobra)?!?

This isn’t the first time an issue like this came up. I remember there was a problem years back, took the rails and the cash and the guy was on here asking for his rails back. I think they finally got it resolved, but it took a long time. Not sure how you have all the answers, but there’s...

My daughter said some lady called, something about a pool cue! Now I’m enjoying my new satin South West. Cue plays nicely and I’m a sucker for simplicity!

Pros and cons of believing in talent or hard work

Tinman, I like how you think. At the start of the thread I wasn’t buying it. But after your post about your natural talent, and the hard work you had to put in to be seen as “talented “ I might be coming around. Good post, it got me thinking!

Plenty of good used cues at that price point. Just search the for sale section for “inexpensive cues”. :)

Never Again Having a Cue / Shaft / Case Shipped USPS

No problems with USPS Even during the pandemic USPS priority mail has been fine for me. The only problem I’ve ever had is it’ll get hung up at a stop for a couple of days, but that is very rare.
