What do you do with old pool balls ?

Good for you! We used to do the same and bring watermelons for the cannons. We also had some small reusable targets that the group smithie made out of metal that had a small pig, deer, chicken, and rabbit hanging on a frame. We usually used it for air rifle practice, but the occasional black...

What do you do with old pool balls ?

I hate to be a party pooper, but blasting plastic into little pieces is bad for the environment. At some point, we all need to wake up and realize that it's not good for us or the animals that eat it. We have several billion tons of cleaning up to do already. A good start is to quit dumping...

    Good room in Portland Or.?

That would be Classic Billiards at 3636 SE 122nd, (503) 761-2622. This old phone book in front of me says they open at 11 am and are open 24 hours on the weekends, not sure how close to accurate that is today.

    The Monks DVD's opinions

Unless you like sleeping, just get the Tom Rossman kicking and banking lessons from him. I'm sure the monk knows a lot and can help with people's games, but for most people his method doesn't work all that great from what I've read and heard. That's my own experience, too. I'm a feel banker...

    New technology available for us

Is there anything else? Doesn't any learning and/or doing require mind activity? Where does most of our mind power lie? How can we access it? Do you have a better idea?

    New technology available for us

This has been around for a few years, but has just recently been applied to billiards. I have been using it for about a month for other things, so can't comment yet on its efficacy vis-a-vis pool playing. The basic premise is that this technology can directly communicate with your...

    Develop concentration to play pool???

There are many ways to improve your concentration and a few have already been mentioned here. Here's what I've learned that may be of help. I don't think you can expect your mind to behave any differently while shooting pool than it does any other time when you are concentrating (or trying to...

    Zen and Pool

And that is being in the moment. I've been working on this more and more lately. It definitely helps the pool game to have nothing but the shot in mind. Good thread.

    olhausen 5x10

I play with 2 1/8" snooker balls at home when I play snooker, but most of the time I play pool on the snooker table. I really like what it does for my pool game on the smaller tables with bigger pockets.
