I always felt it was the exact opposite. You can't put the CB exactly where you want, unless you are hitting the pocket EXACTLY where you want, which is a function of shotmaking/stroke.

Ping Pong Balls That Look Like Pool Balls?

One of your very, very, very, very, very, very few, useful posts.

Ping Pong Balls That Look Like Pool Balls?

I made my own. Multicolor permanent marker set, a pack of white ping pong balls, and call it good. Not too hard at all.

    Hunter v Frost, your stance?

Oh yeah. Scott HATES it when someone plays good on him, especially if he sees that person as a lesser player. I played him a few years ago at Derby, and he was NOT well behaved.

America vs Rest of the World

"In America". You forgot that part. "In America", there are generally poor coaches, as compared to Europe, and less access to pool rooms, so "in America", yes, you pretty much have to be born into a family of players, or with one really good player, to a certain extent, to get a solid beginning...

That Vietnam crowd is what pool needs more of.

Yeah. Because making money is the definition of "living a good life". So sad to hear this. I am betting SVB might disagree with your assessment. With his drive, he could have made a lot more money in his life. He seems to be enjoying his fishing.

Call it what you like, but the business environment doesn't support pool in America, we CERTAINLY don't have a national structure set up to develop young players, no legit trainers with an incentive to develop them other than their own wallets, nor to provide them any meaningful competition...

    Of course it does.

Welll.. You READ it, didn't you? :ROFLMAO: (Gotta know your audience, fams. I know you are capable of reading something more than a one liner quip..) And I reiterate... If you don't KNOW what a "healthy choice" is due to intentional manipulation of the facts by government/food industry, how...

    RIP Piper

Absolutely, 100% true. Seen it numerous times in real life. Overweight people marrying overweight people... Skinny dude with confidence issues marrying overweight woman and vise versa... Single mother out of a relationship for a while, marrying an alcoholic guy, because she "doesn't think she...

Getting Shape when Object Ball is in Jaws of Pocket

A good drill for this is to place a ball in one center pocket, a ball in the other, and practice drawing off the shot to pocket the other ball. Work on pocketing it directly square, and as you progress, you work on pocketing the second ball with make speed, cutting it one way or the other, etc...

You do realize that you are talking about the ranking in a country where pool is in the doldrums, and we can barely field two players capable of reaching the final 16 in a major event these days? How do you think #3-#5 in America would do against #3-#5 in Poland? "Overtaking" Skylar is not...

This has been discussed before. Shane was dominant in the past because break rules favored overemphasis on the break in the "winning formula". With 4" pockets and break from the box, resulting in a random layout, SVB's dominance is nowhere near as assured. He has the occasional unexplainable...

Please refer to my statement about how sugar is in fact, physically addictive, and it is put in products it has no business being in, such as salad dressing. I think you missed those two super important points. Also, if it is a problem affecting 60% of the population, that goes a bit more...

    Simonis 860HR slide

Oh, I dunno. I don't play at the club much, just mostly on tournament/league days. I just noticed that, while I DEFINITELY noticed the "new cloth slide" on my home table in the first week or two, when I went to the club, it was pretty excessive. CB being prone to squirt a lot more, etc.

    JS Proudly Cheering Fedor's Miss

I got no problems with a single warning at the 10 second mark. At 5 seconds though, the ref is almost always going to be announcing in the middle of a player's pausing before their stroke, if not in the middle of the stroke. I don't think a 5 second warning is required.

How do these diamond tables play so badly? vid

Otherwise known as "40 pages of trolls baiting Glen, because they know he is a passionate guy who knows his stuff cold, and who doesn't brook fools well". Fools who have brand new accounts, and are totally not the same old trolls who've been banned before, and created a new account to keep...

    Simonis 860HR slide

I repeat again, for the third time. Both club tables and my own were recovered at roughly the same time. In fact, the club tables were recovered maybe a week earlier, and get more playtime, so the slide should be worse on my table, not on the club tables.

    Simonis 860HR slide

They are 20+ year old Gold Crowns, which are "supposed" to play slower than Diamonds (at least the rails are), all things being equal. But it would seem that the amount of slide off OB contact BEFORE it hits the rail is pretty much unrelated to the table itself, as long as the slate is level...
