I own 2 players. One 13mm maple and 1 12.2mm graphite. I swap them out every once in a while and find I play about the same. The 13mm is more forgiving but the 12.2 seems to do much better with ball control IMHO.

Cyclop balls had some really significant quality problems early on. Balls literally cracked in half.

Especially if you already have a bottle of aramith cleaner around. I started with a $1.00 spray bottle from walmart, but it clogged and leaked. I found this one on Amazon at the recommendation of a friend here on the boards It is REALLY top quality and never leaks or clogs...
