Near mint Ebony cue with leather wrap and fancy ivory (total of 48 ivory inlays) and silver rings. Comes with 3 very good shafts with everest tips all around 12.7-12.9mm and 3.8-4.1oz. $1085 shipped(only posible trade would be ebony or coco nose Lambros). This is my playing cue and plays as...
I just got a curly maple nose Lambros and love the way it plays. However, I prefer an ebony or cocobola nose cue. I want a veneered cue but nothing fancy. I would prefer to trade but can pay cash if I have to.
Pm offers please-thanks-jeff
BTW- Mine is only for sale if I find another one- Here it...
I got the cue yesterday at about 3pm played in an 8pm local tourny and won. Then won 6 of 8 sets in a cash game. The cue I have has a maple nose/purpleheart points, I usually play with ebony nosed cues. I think I might want to try an ebony Lambros but...this one plays good!!!
Alot depends on the hardness/feel you prefer
I think I have tried every tip out there
I like these alot
-Everest
-Kamui med/soft
-Mike Johnson (Jensen) milk duds(harder than the 2 above)
these are pretty good
-Molavia S & M
-Black Diamond
These are inconsistant from my limited expirience...
I don't think Mason is ready to be crowned just yet, maybe someday. He is very new and has only produced very basic cues to this point. It looks like he has a good start, as most like the way his cues play.
BTW- I do like the looks of his cues.
There are alot of good playing cues for that price range on the (near new)secondary market, and a few new ones. Leon Sly, Bob Fry, Jeff Olney, Tom Coker, to name a few. Look in the WTB/ for sale section.
Good luck-jeff
I have not tried the Mcdermott or Mezz but my ranking would be:
1.) Smartshaft
2.) OB1 - hits softer than smartshaft and ferrules crack over time, however, he will replace them for free.
3.) 314 - hits hollow but plays good
4.) tiger x - hit feels great but... has more deflection than others. I...
I have played with both and , of the 2, prefer the Carmeli. However, they both were built to high standards and hit solid. I would encourage you to try both of them before buying one because my opinion means very little compared to yours.
good luck-jeff
Remy- Please give me the first shot if you decide to sell it.
thanks-jeff
Edit----I didn't notice before but... it looks like the cue was made for someone else huh?
This one is a no brainer...Bill at cornerstone has an awesome ebony/ebony/ivory one. http://www.cornerstonecues.com/cue6.htm
I darned near bought it the last time I was up to see him.
