I second the vote to visit Gate City in Greensboro. I am actually here for work right now as I was last year in August. I've been to GC pretty much everyday I've been in town - nice place and great equipment. Especially important for playing Straight Pool... Good Luck.

Just ran a 59 at home in practice, besting my highest run by 2! Two weeks ago I ran a 43, got kiss scratched on the break. Bad roll, so I reset the breakshot and ran a 48. I think that's my best performance but still not a real, official high run as I did in fact scratch.

Yeah, now I see. I hit it too hard and cheated the pocket left, not right. That 'jumped' the cue ball further up the side rail and then further around the bottom rail causing it too miss the rack. Add this shot to the list of break shots to practice... Thanks for the tips.
