Thanks Alan. It is indeed the table from B&B's, going to be refinished and installed in my house! Would you say the matchroom tables were generally of low, average or high build quality in your experience as a player? Just curious...I already have it so it doesn't really matter too much!

Thanks for the replies. It's about $150 more for the northern- I think I'll go that route as its a small percentage after all to the total table cost.

I'm purchasing and refinishing a 12' table very soon. I'm going to put new Strachan cloth on the bed/rails but while its apart I plan on doing the rubber as well (it's 25/30 yrs old). I have only heard of Northern but found another set by Rosetta on eBay. Any opinions about Northern being worth...

Can it be completed in one day?

I have an old Schon shaft with a Micarta ferrule. 13mm now, I'd love to reduce it to 10.5 or just under to use as a snooker shaft on my schon butt. My pool shaft is 12.4, same as above. I'm ignorant of the process but is this possible?

I have a nice area, currently houses a 9' GC III. Thinking of replacing it with a snooker table. 10' would yield no bad shots. 12' table would have an area by green pocket with 3' clearance to small section of wall. Shooting from green side direct to yellow side in an area about 16"from behind...

Where are they located? I'm in the market for a 10' snooker table to replace my 9' GC III.

I never asked him his age exactly but I believe he is 66/67. I don't think he has tournament aspirations nowadays...but he sure can play.
