Forgot to comment on the cue itself - LOVE IT!!!

I have seen this a couple of times and can't understand it. The JP for the butt has a hole in the top!! Why isn't it a solid piece like the JPs for the shafts? Will the extra length make it too long for the standard case? It may be silly but I would want them all to match. Is there a reason...
