Flat faced, 3/8-10 or radial. Nice snug fit and great balance "options" compared to any piloted joint or small pin joint. With big pins they come in lots of different materials.

I have had nothing but great results with V10, dosent look like you had much coverage on the tip.

13mm 14mm can still have a thin ferrule wall... No lines that need to be read, Just adding to the conversation. Tennon size is a factor, also if the ferrule is capped and has a big air/glue void at the top..
