    Does this ad bother you?

Doesn't bother me at all and your poll shows you are in the minority. People are far too sensitive. In this situation you made a conscious choice to be offended when no offense was intended. Feel free not to deal with Pool dawg if you wish, but the world would be a better and happier place if...

    Average player cue recommendations?

Pechauer. Great products at very fair prices and the best customer service in the business if you should ever need it.

Did the cue market fall apart?

Maybe pool players of all ages are just getting smarter. Due to technology in ALL sports, good gear is getting cheap, and cheap gear is getting good. Find a really good production cue company with great QC and what they make, even at the lower end, will be as good or better (at least to most...

    Advice for beginner cues?

Schmelke is a good option for an American-made cue at a very reasonable price. They are not, however, adjustable for weight. Many times here the consensus has been that Players cues are the best entry-level cue on the market. Standard 5/6x18 joint that allows you to change shafts later if you...

What is the best pool cue joint/pin type?

Because lots of people just like to complain about every single thing.

    60” playing cues

Give Pechauer a call. They're a production cue company with outstanding customer service that will make pretty much anything you ask for. It's worth a try.

    Production Cues vs. custom

That's OK. Guys love their Meucci's and Joss's and I tried both and didn't like either at all. I'm a Pechauer guy but whatever anyone likes or dislikes is fine with me.

    Brunswick Allenton for home?

When I shopped for a pool table, I was surprised at how bad the lower-priced Brunswick tables were. Made in Asia, knock-down bolt-together construction just like other less-expensive brands. Crawl under the table and look at how they're built and you'll see other tables that are better for less...

    Production Cues vs. custom

What do you consider a valid point? What can anyone say here about the quality of any cue that isn't opinion? I mentioned several facts about Pechauer's production process. Perhaps you could read the entire thread before saying something that makes you sound foolish.

    Production Cues vs. custom

You're certainly entitled to dislike Pechauer for whatever reason, but a blanket statement like that is pretty extreme, and does not reflect favorably on you as a thinking, reasonable person with anything helpful to say.

    Production Cues vs. custom

Predators are overpriced. Pechauers are bargains IMHO. They will make any production cue in whatever stain color you want, no charge. Outstanding customer service and excellent quality control. The finish on my Keith Josey (an excellent playing cue) can't compare to the mirror-like gloss on any...

    Fury YT-1 review

I'm glad you're happy with your Fury. Based on your review I did some research and found very, very few options for cues with no-wrap handles. There were a couple but they were all decals, no inlays. Disappointing...

    Cue question.

I know some very high-skill players that never bothered to spend a lot of money on their cues and play with a basic Player's cue. A Purex has an upgraded shaft and tip, so that will absolutely be sufficient until or unless you decide you need something better. I also agree you should check out...

    Production Cues vs. custom

I play Pechauer, have both a Pro and JP series but was curious about what a custom cue offers. I got a Keith Josey and it's also a great cue, but I still take my Pechauer to League competitions. Pechauer grows their own trees, processes the lumber in their own mill, built a machine shop and...

    Help with cue, please

If you don't like what you see, tell them what you want. They will make anything as a custom request for a very reasonable price. They harvest their own trees from their own timberland, process their trees in their own sawmill, make all their own screws and joints in their own metal shop. Their...

    Another great Pechauer cue

    I have never experienced that.

    Another great Pechauer cue

I agree it would be nice if they used a more commonly accepted joint, but it is what it is and still they're my favorite.

    Another great Pechauer cue

I asked their customer service (which is outstanding) once what the different butt diameters are for the cues they make, and they sent me the following: Pro .850 (joint) 1.245 (butt) Jp .850 1.265 Pro H .850 1.270

    Another great Pechauer cue

Hard to say. The JP may be a little softer than the Pro series due to the flat-faced implex joint, but it's subjective, of course.

    Another great Pechauer cue

That's not true though. I'm sure whoever answered the phone tried to keep you in-house, but I bought a Predator 314 from Seyberts that fits my Pechauer perfectly. I prefer the Pechauer Pro+ LD shaft, though.
