I started useing the loctite and have never had a problem with any tips I replaces. I used it on phenolic, leather, G-10, White Diamonds , others, The trick is roughing the tip and ferrule off before installing. I let them sit for about 24 hours ,,but I have installed some on peoples cues and...

Fullsplice cue's are generally butt heavey, at least alot of the one's I had made. That is why alot a people like them.... Good luck with your sale Kevin's cue's play great.

Even know it is a old cue , you can still have a new shaft made to look just as the original with the same joint collar to play with now so you dont do any damage to the original. Take it to any cuemaker or repairman that is capeable of makeing shafts, most can copy any ring work. ,,,

This is why it pays to pay someone the little cost of a tip to have a quality job done, unless your not around anyone with the right equiptment and know how. No matter what doing a tip by hand is more than likely never going to look anything like a job done with a lathe. But keep in mind...

Use a finer grit sand paper, like 600 to 1200, 1500, buff and a little wax, should help but thats what useually happens when you do something without the right equiptment. No one is really going to be able to answer for sure without seeing the ferrule. sorrry ,,,,,

I can say this much about the shaft spinner , which is about all it is. My dad bought one of these about two years ago and it worked ok to clean or polish shafts but it was alittle hard to do tips and ferrules. He had to do everything by hand with files and blades with no tool attchments on this...
