    TOI trouble

There are some good nuggets in that post. For me especially is the acceleration of the cue. That came up in a recent lesson. I'm still pocketing shots using TOI and now with bettering my fundamentals confidence is increasing. Am still amazed at how the long cut shots drop in. Thanks again CJ!

    My Lee Brett lesson experience

Thanks English. True about the sight line now that you mentioned that. I agree and I do have an intended next shot. Unfortunately it doesnt always work out the way I planned. ( well for now ) He did show me a few drills to practice on to help with that. His recommended bridge is usually 6-10...

    My Lee Brett lesson experience

A little on the mental aspect. We talked about competitions I have done and how to relate that to the game. No position play, that is a little ahead of me yet. My fundamentals were in need of a lot of work and he really went through all the reasons why. So we spent alot of time on various...

    My Lee Brett lesson experience

Yes, with the short bridge I was not able to get through the ball and was basically poking at the ball. With the longer bridge and elbow drop I was able to follow through completely.

    My Lee Brett lesson experience

I took a lesson with Lee Brett this weekend and couldn't be happier. Being a relative beginner I was wondering if working with Lee would be a good move. I found him an easy guy to be around and he instilled some fundamentals for me that paid off immediately. He was very patient and explained...

Who Has Never Missed A Ball In Hand Shot?

Wow! I thought I was one of the few. Usually I'm thinking about the next shot. Thanks! Glad this has happened to seasoned players. But....why does it never happen to the person I'm playing? lol

TOI questions: outside english and draw

Yes between draw and long shots, I have noticed that the toi is much less than I thought. Each day brings a little more knowledge of toi and gotta say it's a lot of fun. Once that cue ball just 'slides' it's a feeling you want to experience over and over.

C J Wylie controversy and TOI

Funny that you mentioned the sound CJ. I noticed that today, when I hit it right, there was a distinct sound made. It's pretty amazing to see the long shots go straight in and I no longer fear really thin cut shots. I was playing on a tighter table today and I rattled quite a few shots that...

C J Wylie controversy and TOI

Thanks CJ. The movement is much less than I thought. I also found that once I moved I was better if I shot right away and didn't take many practice strokes. One of the reasons I bought the ppv was from your posts here. You give a tremendous amount of info and I really appreciate it.

C J Wylie controversy and TOI

I too just got the ppv yesterday. Got on a table for about an hour and a half today. Wasn't sure I was moving into toi properly but the balls were going in! One thing I noticed right away was long thin cuts. Those were dropping like magic. So I'm looking forward to spending more time tomorrow...
