WRISTS - The "hidden power catalyst" of a great stroke or "just along for the ride"?

Exactly! People who want to see the action have been unwilling to pay to see the action! Unfortunately, pool is a dying sport. CJ, if you never play another tournament, I could certainly understand why! However if you do, you have my support! I hope to make it to Dallas this summer! If I do...

It is nice to know you have little respect for someone's past accomplishments! You sound like Eddie Murphy in his standup routine (Raw) where he asks, "I love you baby, but what have you done for me lately?" https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=90mFGwYJ0s8

Really? In the picture below is the average earnings for the top 25 players over a period of 11 years. During this same period of time (excluding 2000) I was an OTR truck driver. My net income was more than Bustamonte's, making me number 3 on this list in earnings. I also wonder what percentage...

These are the most profound words of wisdom I have heard anyone say here! Frankly, if you need to "think" about ANY fundamental aspect of executing a shot when you are down on the shot...YOU are dead meat!!! Thank you for saying what I have said so MANY times before, "there is no greater...

Show me one post that does! I have better things to do then check every post on AZ! Besides, pocketing balls is NOT rocket science! You don't need to know physics to play pool!

WRISTS - The "hidden power catalyst" of a great stroke or "just along for the ride"?

I totally agree! Knowing why a ball went into the pocket is meaningless, knowing how to put a ball into the pocket is priceless! The less you know why and the more you know how is the only pathway to success in this game. I keep saying this but I guess nobody "gets" it...if every shot you had...

I have also used a piston stroke for breaking and power, but I have never varied my grip pressure. I must try this and see the results...thank you!

WRISTS - The "hidden power catalyst" of a great stroke or "just along for the ride"?

After watching the video "Billiards Inside Secrets", which CJ says demonstrates the "hammer" stroke, I have a few things to point out! CJ, you say (regarding the hammering of a nail) "Although it isn't the action that is happening in the stroke" then you say (again regarding hammering of a nail)...

WRISTS - The "hidden power catalyst" of a great stroke or "just along for the ride"?

The "before" in the video was 1/3000 of a sec! For all practical purposes I think you could say at impact. I doubt if anyone here is capable of noticing the difference even using ordinary video cameras! Whether anyone is capable of intentionally accelerating the cue by ANY matter at impact...
