This gets into pattern racking. If you break pretty consistently, you can often determine what's going to drop or what's going to go where after the break, depending on how the balls are racked.

I only brought this up because I got intentional bad racks in the last two money matches I played. I will normally pocket 2 balls off of the break, so in the first match he was putting the 2 down low and racking the bottom half loose. By the time I realized what he was doing, I was already up...

I have a Willard's dime shaper and tip pik already, what I was specifically looking at were tools made to trim the edges of the tip so that it's no longer a mushroom shape. I don't really need one now, but I'm still interested to see what you guys use.

Jim Murnack's cases definitely look nice, but they're just as, if not slightly more, in price than Justis and JB. I'll give the other guys a ring and see what they have to say.
