As far as keeping the fact that your cue is a SP secret, just go into the place early before most people get there. I hadn't thought about changing out the tip or ferrule for a harder combination though.

While my experience with Sneaky Pete's has been limited, all of the ones that I've played with have had a soft feel to them, with me eventually getting rid of them. I'm looking at picking up a lower end SP, ~$150 or less, and was wondering if anybody in particular makes a solid hitting SP...
