So get this. (APA League Operator Rant)

Just wanted to update that we won our Division Championship, despite the problems we've been having. And what's funny is that we didn't play on 7' tables, we played on 8' instead, so I guess that's one more lie to throw ontop of the pile. I can't wait to see what sort of rigaramarole gets...

So get this. (APA League Operator Rant)

This is going to be a bit of a read, sorry. At the beginning of this last session, I decided that I would start playing in leagues, and joined BCA and APA. I hopped onto a great APA team and thought we would do well, even going so far as to say that we might make it to Vegas. I mentioned...

Weird, never heard of such. Knowing me, I'd forget which numbers went with which colors, lol.

How to get chalk out of a cue case?

Lol, I'm talking about chalk powder down in the tubes, not an actual cube of chalk. The compressed air idea sounds like it might do the trick, I'll try that later today. If that doesn't work, I'll try some of that Chalk Off. Thanks fellas.

How to get chalk out of a cue case?

Could I hear some ideas on how to get chalk out of a cue case? I've tried the old "turn it upside down and shake" method, just wondering if there are any other techniques out there that might be slightly more invasive?

New Crazy Cocobolo From Jon Spitz

Honestly, I don't have any idea where the blank came from. I sent Jon a description of what I wanted the cue to look like along with a few pictures, then just waited. Send him a PM and see what he says. I'll try to snap some more pictures of the cue later this week, as well as do a writeup on...

New Crazy Cocobolo From Jon Spitz

So I finally got my first custom cue! After the fiasco with Jim Lee, I contacted Jon Spitz out of Chicago about doing something a little simpler, like a fancy pete. The cue weighs 18.6oz, is made up of a hoppe style bumperless cocobolo butt, curly maple forearm, Black G10 3/8x10 Radial Pin, an...

    Slate Billiards opening day

Scott, if you do show up sometime in the near future, please post on here about it so that I know to show up. I'd love to take some lessons if you're ever in the neighborhood doing a clinic or something.

I had to wiki the game to figure out what the hell was going on, lol.

    Smoking during a match???!!!!

While I don't condone his behavior in any way, I actually would've made sure he put the damn thing down before shooting, I feel like I have to speak up for us cigar smoking players. Not all cigars stink, in fact I'm complemented on the smell of my cigars every time I light one up, but there are...

    Metal pool cue ferrules

As long as there's a tip between the metal ferrule and the cue ball, you won't damage anything. A woman who plays here locally has a metal ferrule and it makes a very audible "clink" sound whenever she hits the ball, but I haven't gotten to play with it personally.
