Do You Ridgeback Rails On Your Valley?

Kerry custom made me some for my 8' Global bar box. They play great with the 4 1/2' pockets. I had some on my old Dynamo and always recommend them to customers who want new rails on their bar boxes. Putting some on a guy's Valley next week by the way. I love em'.

    Bar Box Inherent Problems

What if it really is broke? Why wouldn't some bar box, industry standard company be aware of this problem and be the first to install struts or gussets around the perimiter of the slate? A Dynamo Super Duty or whatever. I don't think it would take much wood, engineering, or time to accomplish...

    Bar Box Inherent Problems

As RKC has and does point out, the slate on bar boxes is supported mostly by the rail caps causing the rails to eventually dip down out of square and letting the cushion height decrease causing ball hop and other problems. My question is, why haven't the manufacturers adressed this problem? Not...

    Fischer Bar Box

Yes, there seems to be a glut of U.S.Billiards tables in this area. This Fischer will turn out fine though. Lots of pre flag Masters chalk and a couple of Hot Wheels cars in there.

    Fischer Bar Box

Actually the rails have an extruded aluminum rail wood screwed to them. Then the rail assembly kind of wedges and folds into the cap, then wood screwed to bottom of cap. I'm going to add more screws to the aluminum in both places to hopefully secure the rails better. A crazy design.

    Fischer Bar Box

Thanks Glenn. I already went and disassembled it before I could read your post. Looking back, I have done one of these before and didn't know the brand then. Good luck is right. Hell of a way to build a pool table! And I thought U. S. Billiards were bad. Thank you for your help.

    Fischer Bar Box

Hi all, I have a 7' Fischer coin op table to look at tonight to recover. I've never worked on one of these before. Are there any tips or tricks for removing the rails or slate. I hear that these are quite different from the standard Valley/Dynamo type bar boxes. Any heads up would be...

    Question for the 'Old Timers'

I play once in a while with an older Native American friend named Victor Jefferson. There was a pool hall in southwest OKC called True Loves. When it first opened, Victor and his brother living nearby, young teenagers at the time, helped move in the new tables for the place. The older players at...

    u.s. billiards inc, table

I have recovered several U.S.B. tables around here. One good place for new rails is Penguin Amusement.com. You may have to call them with some info so they will match your old rails.

    Simonis Video

I just covered some bar box rails using the spray glue method shown on the Simonis DVD. I am really impressed on how quick and easy it was. I've done many with staples but this is the bomb! Will strip easier next time too. Never too old to learn, Thanks RKC!

    8' Global Extra Legs?

Hi again all, I just accquired an 8' Global coin op Challenger table. I have some new Ridgeback rails being made for it. While talking to Kerry, he asked if it had any cabinet sag. I checked it out and it appears there is none. He said that if there was, I could add some extra support under the...

    Global age?

Hey Glen, sorry to pester you or the rest. But concerning the Dynamo / Global swap, how does one determine the age of a Global coin op table? My Dynamo has the hardwood top rail caps by the way. Didn't know if you'd re-answer my previous thread so I started another one, sorry. You all have been...
