    updates from the viking event?

Keith must be a good player. No matter, though, I don't know of too many I'd like to beat Larry twice in a row.

    updates from the viking event?

Who is Keith Bennett? I see he beat Larry Nevel 11-10. Keith must be a strong talent.

    updates from the viking event?

Yeah, where the hell did that come from? At least "Shrimpboat" is doing well--final 16.

    Slowing Down Simonis 860

I know a place exactly like that, complete with a cueball that feels like an anvil, with a mind all its own.

    Your DREAM table?

Blatt does make some incredible tables. My studio used to be close to Blatts, and I'd make a point every so often to drop in and browse the tables on the showroom floor. I've heard they play very well, too.

    Your DREAM table?

I, too, am a traditionalist and always preferred green cloth. However, since playing regularly on my friend's Diamond Pro Am, covered with "Tournament Blue" (similar to electric blue) cloth, I've changed my opinion. That color, plus the magnificent Diamond light, provide the finest conditions...

    14.1 Rules Question

In non-refereed matches, it's pretty hard to play all ball fouls. The problem comes when you get to the fringe--what happens if an item of clothing touches but does not move a ball? Who calls the foul? I think it's pretty clear how quickly that scenario could get out of hand. Agreeing to cue...

    Slowing Down Simonis 860

You want to slow 860 down? Shoot for a week on Simonis 300. The next time you play on 860 it will feel like you're rolling the ball through a corn field.

Blasting us low post count members

I don't think the quantity of posts has any bearing on the value of one's post. I've seen, and still see daily, people with high post counts who never have a useful thing to say. Yet, for example, Roadie's first post, was one of the best I had seen here, and he continues to add lucid, pertinent...

    Your DREAM table?

Forty years of playing pool and I have never even seen a 10' pool table. Those Diamond lights are the absolute nuts. Why would you choose a Gabriel over a Diamond table? I've never seen or played on a Gabriel, so I wonder what's special about them. The Diamond Pro Am is the best table I've...

    Your DREAM table?

I like how you think! No reason to limit oneself! I was just thinking how rare 3C tables are becoming. Sad thing.

That's the bridge Joe "The Meat Man" Balsis used. It sure worked for him.

    Influences

I can tell you all, after observing the transformation personally, Ginky worked hard. He came with plenty of natural ability, no doubt, but after working with George and Paul, and lots of practice on his own, Ginky went from beginner to a top level player in little more than a year. I've never...
