Great story, thank you!! And that poolroom must have been one of 'Hippie" Jimmy Reid's early haunts because that is the area he hailed from, and in the right time frame. Can you add any Hippie Jimmy stories? Or Nick Vlahos, although he was a little later, but also North Shore area I believe.

I think Gorst just got knocked out by Shane, but the DCC results page are not up to date, so I am not sure if that was his first or second loss. If it was his second, then it's 60 years and counting for a player to sweep all three events in a major all around.

I don't normally watch 9-ball but I might have to tune in this weekend to watch this unfold. No one has ever swept a major three event all-around tournament. A couple of players have won 2 of 3 -- including Mark Tadd in LA in I think 1992, who won Banks and 9-ball but lost in the One Pocket...

I have a "shadow box" -- about 14" x 52" -- I'd be interested in a remnant from either a significant tournament or an iconic poolroom -- big enough to line the bottom. Be even nicer if it was signed :) Does anybody have anything?
