You been given Some good advice. everybody has their preferences. The Mcdermott is a good choice, all maple cue, You can change the weight of it if you want. Good option. You will not be disappointed. Go for it. Goodluck!

Don't listen to a ? cue is crap. That is crap.

Whatever you decide to buy. just make sure it has a maple shaft. roll it on a table to make sure it is not warped. Once you decide your sure your going to stay with the game. You can always upgrade and use your first cue as a break stick.
