I use a PTC Model 409 type D analog with the peak reading. tips vary from low sixties to 98. If you do not have a stand make sure you take your reading at the center if it is domed. Most of the softer tips and mediums usually end up mid seventies after used for a while.

I am looking for a simple program to design cues. Is there a program made to do this? What are you cue makers using? Looking for something with a short learning curve.

Thanks for the replies. This was the first time I used a light color linen based ferrule. I think I will stay away from this type. As you can see I am new to this. Can I get some recommendations of what ferrules to use and why?
