I've got an R360 that I take with me on business travels, and it has won me a lot more money than any of my more expensive cues. For one, because of all the cue snobs, it elicits the reaction of "How good can he be? He's shooting with a Cuetec.".

McDermott honors their warranty - they replaced a shaft for me about a year ago, no questions asked.

Personally, I'd say yes. Lowest retail for cue I could find was approx. $1150, subtract $250 for 314-2 shaft and that leaves the cost of the butt at $900. Getting it for $400 seems extremely reasonable.

I believe Mike Laney is living in Alabama now. He's pretty stout at all games. Robert Hall in Huntsville also plays pretty well.

I've used a Jacoby Edge break cue for the past couple of years and I have nothing bad to say about it. I get a lot of pop out of mine with seemingly minimal effort. Only break cue I've tried that was close to mine's performance was a Lomax. I highly recommend.
