Hello fellow AZer's,
I'm going to be in Jacksonville, FL, all next week on business. Any recommendations on where to play? Any one pocket players there?
Thanks in advance.
There are several good one pocket players that will show up at Diamonds on the weekends, just never sure exactly when. Danny Smith and Mike Laney are both regulars when in the area, and there is a bevy of other players that have their moments. I think you will find the caliber of players...
I've got an R360 that I take with me on business travels, and it has won me a lot more money than any of my more expensive cues. For one, because of all the cue snobs, it elicits the reaction of "How good can he be? He's shooting with a Cuetec.".
1. I would venture to say Wisconsin probably has more bar box players than any state in the country. Milwaukee by itself has over 850 bars/taverns listed in its yellow pages, and probably 2/3 of them have at least one bar box.

Personally, I'd say yes. Lowest retail for cue I could find was approx. $1150, subtract $250 for 314-2 shaft and that leaves the cost of the butt at $900. Getting it for $400 seems extremely reasonable.
I've used a Jacoby Edge break cue for the past couple of years and I have nothing bad to say about it. I get a lot of pop out of mine with seemingly minimal effort. Only break cue I've tried that was close to mine's performance was a Lomax. I highly recommend.
