To create a great pool-related non-fiction book -- what's the topic of the book?

Correct Sir for the moment perhaps! Maybe Alf Taylor's Book will surpass that mark. I hope so. In reality of audience appeal,it is Fiction that bring's the best results at the Box Office and the Book Store. You may blend elements of the two,but the fictitious side must dominate.

Do you kick, bank or shoot straight in shots well?

Kicks,Banks, etc. In the old days before jump cues and the Ball in Hand after the Break, old timers knew the way out of a safety was the kick. If you expanded that to the Kick to the Safe, you had a real weapon in your arsenal. My hidden gem is the Kick to the Bank. I save that one for the special...

When a road player comes to town.........

Handling Road Players Joey, I believe that the economy is an indicator of the gambling mindset. The local attitude in North Carolina is different today than what it was back in say the 70's and 80's when Raleigh and Greensboro held action all the time. I am also sure you remember the Sports...

    ESPN article on Dennis Orcollo

    Who???

Name Recognition Go to an NBA Game or a MLB Game. You could ask any 8 year old about a player, and they will know who, what team,% of FG/RBI's,etc. Most of the millions of pool players who go to bars or rooms don't care about Pro Pool People because they have no connection to them. They see pool...

How many cues do you need to bring to the pool hall to play for Big bucks?

Fully Armed In the 70's usually a sweet widowmaker with one shaft in a cheap soft case. In the early 80's it was the era of the extra shaft, nice hard tube case 1x2. Late 80's the Break Cue and the Players Cue in a nice 2x4 case. 90's that damn short azz jump cue thing???? or the Break/Jump...
