I cannot speak for the Varney, but I have an ebony pj from Mike Stacey. I switched out the LBM ferrule for an uncapped ivory ferrule, and added a milk dud tip. Everyone who hits it is amazed at how well it hits. the cue plays awesome. For $300, that is a great deal. I just texted a friend...
