    "Creative" One Pocket Fouling

I think you guys need to read the rules. The only fouls that bring a ball pocketed in the opponents pocket back onto the table are a pocket scratch or cue ball off the table. On any other type of foul the ball stays down and counts for the opponent. See clear explanation in rule below. 6.2...

    1 pocket fouls.

If you call a foul on yourself when it didn't happen, it is the same dishonesty as not calling a real foul. If winning is more important than personal integrity to someone, I don't want to play with them.

    1 pocket fouls.

It is about the rules but also about honesty and integrity. Winning is not important enough for me to be dishonest and overlook the rules of the game. Nowhere in the rules does it say that a foul is only a foul is your opponent sees it. It is not my opponents job to be the referee. He is away...

    Is This a Foul?

I think it was not necessarily a foul in the past depending on local rules because it was not addressed in the world standard rules. At some point I believe the world standard rules were revised to require a "normal forward stroke" or some such language which made this shot illegal. I am...

    Liu ShaSha

What cities are Liu ShaSha and Fu XiaoFang from?? My limited Chinese is a little rusty but the video below I think says they are sisters and for sure Liu Shasha trains at the Fu XiaoFang Billiard Club. They sure look and act like sisters in the video. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7IMXtCnkbY8

    Liu ShaSha

After the recent threads about Chen Simeng, her level of play and the comparisons to Wu Chia Ching's young world championship my old brain recalled the 2009 Women's World Champoinship won by Liu Sha Sha. I went back and re watched the finals and it is a treat to see. Link to first video here...

    What would you do?

What he said. I have never played for enough money not to tell, but I have played people who were big enough a$$holes that I wouldn't tell. Not many of those though.

    Si Meng Chen Video

2/5/8 is a game that I think originated in Taiwan but is now played in China among the pros for gambling. It is very difficult and not for "average" players. Without explaining all the rules, the essentials are that it is a cue ball control game, not a pocketing game You play with 4 balls on...

    Si Meng Chen Video

Don't think that is likely to happen. During my time in China I never saw any of the top Chinese lady pros gambling. However, if you go to Shanghai you can surely match up with the Chinese and Taiwanese men pros as often as you like. They gamble every chance they get, usually playing 2/5/8, not...

    Si Meng Chen

Jay - I watched Chen play in the World Championships in China a few months ago and she looked strong there also. She took out Pan in the quarterfinals I think. I don't know if I would call her the best ever yet, but she sure did look strong this week and very composed also. In her 9-3 win...

Star Billards - Manila - Now!!

For the last couple nights, my time in thailand I have been watching the stream from Star Billiards in Manila. It appears that last year and this year Chinese ladies World Championship winners are back in Manila to sharpen their games. Liu Sha Sha and Fu Xiao Fang seem to be taking on all...

    World Snooker Shootout - January 28 - 30

that was my understanding also when the rules were explained. Different from normal snooker rules where no rail contact is required but not the same as other games where rail contact required after object ball contact.
