This sounds like a great idea. Especially because it teaches people how to play pool. Then it becomes fun to do yourself!
At the same time there is tense and a rich context with alot of history. (already looking forward to the bonus ball episode :P)
Indeed Corey Duel should give it a shot :)
About 2: there may be other ways to setup the balls. I do think its possible to lose very little energy when potting the ball in the side pocket.
The 1 and 2 ball could also be placed so that the cueball sort of cuts the 2 into the corner. But it...
These shots both require alot of draw. Can you shoot them? Best would be videoproof :)
The first shot is a shot that I once made by accident. I was practising to pot the ball in the corner pocket and gave it alot of draw. It went two rails into the corner pocket.
Second one is a shot I tried...
$175 (without a scoreboard, right?)
O.O
I bought a set of pookerballs for 80 euros. They're probably made in larger quantities and the balls are less decorated.. but still.. Well maybe they become collectors items :)
About the only way to get this game played is to (allmost) donate the sets...
A match that I enjoyed alot was Keith McCready vs Strickland (1988)
Part 1: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vHQw9T5uvyk
I never heard of Keith and saw his weird style of play. Looked him up and his wikipedia was a very entertaining read.
To bad this is failing, I really enjoyed the game Bonus Ball and watching those pros play in teams.
Is there another variant that is playable (not requiring tons of material) and aired by a proven competent company?
I would even enjoy watching strong amateurs play a new game.
Bonus ball is an awesome game, I hope the business behind it will become solid.
Its sad how hard some people are cheering for this to fail. Only, ofcourse, after saying the obligatory "all I care about are the pro's being paid".
This kid is just not funny anymore.. awesome billiardshots!

(posted this on the forum before, sry if you see it twice)
Thats good news!
Im not a businessman, but I hope that BB wil do whatever cuts that are nescessary to survive. Even if that means shrinking down players/ numbers of teams. I also hope they find cheap or free ways to market the game. Also I would seriously consider letting in teams of different...
Searched the forums if Jop de Jong's new video had been posted but didn;t find it.
This time he made a billiards trickshotsvideo and it has incredibly nice shots.

Good feedback. Many people are willing to pay $5 if they can use a stream they know is safe, has good quality and is sure to work. If team China plays Im sure you'll sell a daypass or two.
Voted for 40%, but my guts say the percentage is lower. Which is lame because I saw some youtube matches and REALLY enjoyed it.
To be honest when I watch 8 ball I kind of fall asleep. Because those pro's run so many tables. Mostly the difficult racks or nice run-outs are interesting to watch...
Thanks for the stream. Im rooting for Deuel! Think he is going to show some magic.
Thats what I like about bonus ball. It sometimes forces to try crazy shots. Also the clock and the timer give the game an extra strategy. The football setup may be a bit forced or misplaced, but the teams do make...
That would be the case if it was in a vacuum. Air has a bit more density, water even more and the jello that was mentioned perhaps even more. On a normal table the ball is mostly slowed by the rollingfriction of the cloth. I think its best to make the "air" in the pool as dense as is needed to...
