    Sealing/Polish for a durable finish

So you clean the shaft, sand it with < 600, then seal it, then send > 600 and then finish with another product to make it super smooth?

Dominant eye or train to see what you see

exactly. Once you find your center of vision, it means you see what you actually aim for. You do not need to compensate. After that, you need the proper execution, as mentionned by a lot of people, lots of people do not execute when they intend to, meaning that if you plan on hitting center cue...

    Mosconi Cup Format

Hi, What is the format of mosconi cup? I mean I know it's two teams, but do they play one against one, 2 x 2, winner breaks? I've looked around and couldn't find that info on the mosconi cup website, nor wikipedia. Thanks :)

Dominant eye or train to see what you see

Just to be clear, I'm not saying the cue should be below your dominant eye. What I'm saying is that your vision should tell you you're straight when you make a straight shot. So hitting if you hit the cue ball straight across the table and it come back to your tip, your vision should tell you...

Dominant eye or train to see what you see

Yeah, I would agree that the important thing is to be consistent. I'm sure if you align your head off the center of vision, consistently, your brain will adjust overtime, but everytime you shot a shot, you won't feel it as good as if your vision center is perfect. If you set up a straight shot...

Tip needed to get rid of a deep mark on my shaft

Yeah, I guess so, but the point of buying a lathe is to do it myself :) I mean I cleaned/changed tips a few time without problem, and I just like keeping my shafts in order. Thanks

Tip needed to get rid of a deep mark on my shaft

Hi, I've been practicing my break using my break rak and twice, I applied too much force and I kinda felt toward the table and my cue went up right onto my light's structure, that is in metal and made a deep mark (1mm deep) on my shaft. Of course, when I stroke, I can feel the mark and I'd...

    Sealing/Polish for a durable finish

I recently bought a lathe to keep my shafts / tip clean. I have tried various cleaning products, and decided on one I like. I have a few question regarding sealing and finish/polish of the shaft. SEALING: - What is sealing for really? Is it to help keep the shaft clean for a longer period? -...

Dominant eye or train to see what you see

I too think the important thing is to have a vision center. That is, set up a straight shot, and move your head around until you see the shot straight. Since you know the shot is straight, it is easier to move your head until your perception says the shot is straight. That is the place your...

My Thread... just so I can make some comments on... whatever.

I think so too, but getting stuff into your subconscious may require conscious practice, conscious adjustments for a while, until you kinda see/feel it without consciously thinking about it. So HAMB without too much conscious work may work, but doing so and consciously working different part of...

Why Is There Such Animosity On The Forum?

I couldn't agree more! I've been using forums for a variety of topics for the past 15 years. I have to say that most forums I've been participating, are friendler and a lot nicer than here. The best one being one for home brewers where everyone is respectful to everyone, eventhough sometime...

    Recommendations for video instruction

I got them all, and the best videos are Dr. Dave and Tor. I like Dr Dave better because it is structured as oppose to Tor, which just from subject to subject. Immonen's DVD was pretty useless to me, I mean not complete if you compare to Dave's stuff.
