CTE. Why I think it works...

I too do use CTE and I'm a BIG BIG fan of the inner game of tennis!! A must read for anyone doing sport and competitive activities!

Why get so caught up on fundamentals?

It couldn't be truer. That being said, it doesn't mean you can't work on your fundamental. You just need to be aware that it will impact your game (negatively) when thinking about it. That's why I work in period of weeks or even months. I'd be working on my fundamentals (or what ever really)...

    14.1 / 1-pocket matches with good commentators

When I watch youtube match, I try to choose match from CSI as the commentators are awesome. I don't think CSI produce 14.1 and one pocket match (I could be wrong, but havent found any in their youtube channel). What match can you recommend I watch that has good commentators so I can pick up a...

Must your head be perpendicular to the shot line?

Don't wanna be a pain in the a**, but in the picture, Allison seems to be reaching out for the shot, the CB seems to be far from her. I bet on a more "regular" shot where she can position herself correctly that her head would be straighter! Don't you thiink?

Must your head be perpendicular to the shot line?

I totally agree. I think you need to find the right balance in between a "perfect mechanical stroke" vs a "perfect stroke for you". But there is no doubt in my mind that some basics apply to everyone (twisted wrist is no good for anyone) and stuff like that. I have friends overhere that simply...

Must your head be perpendicular to the shot line?

I'm not sure about that. It's not because a top player doesn't do it, that it wouldn't help them if they'd do it! I see lot of great player stroking far from perfect. I understand what "Perfect" means is debatable, but still, I'm pretty sure most top player could still improve their stroke but...

New progress video (month 7) - Constructive criticism is welcome and appreciated

I also saw someone comment that players work on their fundamental a lot may not develop the proper feel. I think you can work on both. I worked hard on the mechanical part, for months, but I also work on a regular basis for the feel part of my stroke. You just need to be aware of what you're...

New progress video (month 7) - Constructive criticism is welcome and appreciated

I Just don't know how strong I am in the APA/Other scale. Over here, I'm a B/A player. But lots of people compliment my stroke, including Pros and/or coaches. I play money games against A players and I win half the time. My Game play is B/A, my stroke is above that for sure. As I said, I...

New progress video (month 7) - Constructive criticism is welcome and appreciated

Just to continue on this, about 2.5 years ago, I had a coach come at my place for a week. I learned so much stuff, both regarding the stroke and the game itself. I had to completly change my stroke. It did NOT happen overnight. I practiced my stroke and PSR for 5 months, around 1-2h per day...

I don't personally wear glasses, but people around me that got glasses designed specifically for billiard just LOVE them! They no longer have to look above their glasses and they just see better!

    Equipment to improve your game

I'd say time is definately one of 2 key ingredients, the other being knowledge. Knowing what happens help reduce the learning curve, since your brain can adjust far more quickly if it knows what went wrong!

    Equipment to improve your game

Depends on what you're really asking! There is no gimmick that will drastically improve your game overnight (tip, shaft, etc). But there are gimmick that will help you train better, that will help you learn faster, and once you know better, you can play better! Measle ball is an exemple...

    Becoming an "official" instructor

Hi everyone, if I'd like to become a certified instructor, what do you recommend? Are there different body of certifications? What are the high level requirements? Once you get certified, do you have training material? Any place to buy some of the training material? Thanks

    1-rail / 2-rail kicking systems using midpoint

Every system is just for estimating shot line. Because shot line will vary depending how the speed and spin of your shot and will vary from barbox vs diamond table! so you have to develop a feel (speed/spin) that you feel is close to your system's estimation and adjust from there. If you know...

    Pool Tournament Similar to Golf?

that's what I say, it eliminates safety play, which is bad in my opinion, since I consider safety play being part of a great player! But as I said, I like the idea, that way, you don't get an easier/harder draw from someone else. At the sametime, most sports that do draws, like Tennis, you...

    Pool Tournament Similar to Golf?

I kinda like the idea, but at the same time, eliminate all the safety play. I mean why would you play safe in hope to get back to the table if no one is gonna shot the safe? It would be a different kind of tournament, one where the most offensive players win.
