    can damaged rails be restored?

I wonder if Valley has any replacement parts for a table this old? I'd like to have this refinished. I've looked at other tables and I would never buy a new table. At $1,000 and up I just can't afford it. The question of "is it worth it" is really a personal choice for each individual. The...

how to move a coin table?

Another thing has come to my attention; I've heard that sometimes when these tables are being tilted onto their sides, legs get broken off. This would be very bad. Is there a safe way to lift the cabinet before I take the legs off? Just wanted to say thanks everyone for all the great advice so...

how to move a coin table?

Ok so here's what I'm thinking; I think I will rent a 10' Uhaul to move it. It seems the cheapest and simplest way to go. http://www.uhaul.com/Reservations/EquipmentDetail.aspx?model=TM My only worry is will the tirewells get in the way? This size truck should fit the table fine other then that.

how to move a coin table?

I will possibly be moving an older Valley coin op pool table on january 7th. I have a book called "A rookies guide to pool table mainyenance and repair" that mostly walks you through the process. But there are other things I'd like to know to get better prepaired for this. Things like, I've...

    can damaged rails be restored?

I have found an older Valley coin op table and it has some heavy gouges and chips in the rails. Pretty common damage for bar tables. I am interested in having it restored. Does anyone know if this kind of damage can be fixed? I think the cabinet is plywood with a veneer finish. The rails might...

    Tenball (Snooker)

I'm not the good with 3D images but here's a few sloppy ones I've put together. Tenball Tenball numbered I think there is a billiard ball manufacture in China that will do custom designs. They are the ones that have the dark green/blue boxes with the white rings or bubbles or whatever they...

lol if only! Good god, $6k! Off topic though; I am slowly building an Irish pub style game room in my basement. It'll have a lot of stained glass accents as that is another hobby of mine. And no I didn't make my avatar, but I liked the pirate. But sure! once the project room is finish, please...

    high quality house cues?

Actually I've seen this look often in cue sticks. I really think it is the finish process rather then the wood. It is called "flame maple finish" I thought. But I could be wrong. In my current Mueller's catalog, many McDermott cues have this look or rather the look of the acoustic I've pictured...

    high quality house cues?

Ok, for the lighter part of the cue, I've posted some photos. I couldn't find any cues with this finish, though I've seen them, but I have found some guitars as examples of the finish I'm talking about. But this is the finish style I'm talking about. I'm not sure what it's called.

    high quality house cues?

I am looking for someone interested in making me some nice quality one piece house cues. I have never been a fan of two piece cues; except for the convenience of taking your own cue to a public room. I want something sort of basic. darker pronged ends and rich maple shafts. I'm not sure the...
