If I do make this, I could use a set of brass pulleys, thin cotton string, some sort of chalk holders, and a counter weight of some kind. There guys have a set of leather chalk holders that might work. The open one shown in the top right might be best but I can't see how the loop is set...

Sure I like leather. I wonder how I can make the leather ones hang? The weight and pulleys I'm sure I can come up with. ;)

Ok let me first start off by saying that I am using a 2 1/4" Aramith Snooker set on an 8ft table. I don't have room for a Snooker table AND a pool table in my house... Now that, that's outta the way... Does anyone know some different Snooker game rules or possibly books with different Snooker...

I actually am planning to build an under table storage chest with drawers that are sized for the ball sets plus and an oversized drawer for Snooker. I wonder if this is a good idea now?

But if that's the basic idea then maybe cheap white hand towels would work better then paper towels and news paper. No waste.

Okay, I tried the Aramith Restorer like the bottle says and buffed by hand with no noticeable results. I will try putting a coat on the balls and putting them in my home made buffer tonight.

DogsPlayingPool - I agree with you. Well, this puts me back on for building an under table storage chest with drawers for all my ball sets. I started rethinking when I was hearing that they needed to be kept out in the light.

You know... I've read that plastics turn yellow from UV rays in sunlight and other sources containing UV rays. Phenolic resin is in the plastics family or so I've come to understand. So if Aramith is right, this does make sense. I hate this guessing stuff here...
