    Wooden bead scorer question

Honestly I figured they were packaged together as I didn't see a hanging kit on the website I ordered this from. Sure I could use clothes pins or whatever but I think that takes the beauty out of it. I'm really thinking to just buy another set or cut my own beads out of dowel, which I like...

    Wooden bead scorer question

There are a few games that scores of larger then 50 points would be nice. Ok, I just had a crazy idea pop up in my head. What if I mount these babies on a finished board and hang the whole thing up on the game room wall? Here is a rough mock-up using (lol) two book shelves and the beads...

    Wooden bead scorer question

The nylon-coated stainless steel wire is a great idea. I have a passion for cotton rope. Probably from my other hobby. I'd like to use cotton string but it'll be hard to keep it rather tight, so I'll probably go with the nylon-coated stainless steel wire.

    Wooden bead scorer question

LOL thanks for the honest advice! Actually I was more interested in creative ways people have set these up. I can't decide if I want to hang them from the ceiling like I've seen or just along a wall. Anyone also know a place where I can get extra beads?

    Wooden bead scorer question

I bought a wooden bead scorer and I am interested in how people have hung these. Also, they only go up to 50 and I want to add 3 beads to each end to represent increments of 50, making it go up to 150. Does anyone know where I can buy extra beads for it? I'll probably just make my own, but I...

    How to clean pool balls?

Ok so off topic of ball cleaners/buffers/chemicals; if you have a coin-op table say, like a one piece slate Valley, what about the subway gulleys? I've seen them get really grimmey. but this looks like a nightmare to get into and clean. Any tips on that?

    Aramith Continental set quality?

Most of the other sets I'll throw into a buffer. But I was concerned about these. I don't regret the purchase, but just was worried how they'd hold up. The look really cool though! So maybe with these I'll just have to polish by hand. Has anyone ever put these in a ball cleaner/buffer?

    Aramith Continental set quality?

Anyway, here is a pic of the set if anyone is intersted. I do like the look of them. They look very vintage. Just wish they were a little better made.

    Aramith Continental set quality?

Yes, I read that they were "entry level". That's upsetting. I should probably not use these too often then as the paint might come off then? As a note; people seem to think Aramith = Best quality. Ok yes, all of their billiard sets are Phenolic resin, but when reading their booklet, I learned...

    Aramith Continental set quality?

I ordered a set of Aramith Continental billiard balls from Ozone Billiards as they are a really good deal at $38. I liked the look of these because they sort of look like Croquet balls which I thought would make a nice tribute to Billiards' possible origins. Anyway, for $38 I don't expect much...

    How to clean pool balls?

Okay these are some fantastic ideas! Especially for someone like me who can't justify blowing $500+ on a ball polisher. I have bills, kids, and gas to pay for! Ok so I'll gonna build one of these tomorrow. I just have another question; Shouldn't you still wash the balls before polishing them?

    How to clean pool balls?

So I've been looking into cleaners for billiard balls since I am collecting many different sets. These machines are nice, but not nice on my wallet at $500. I found this system on ebay that uses a power drill that seemed to be okay and for $150. I know there are these die hard purists out...

    Vigma billiard ball quality?

That was very fascinating to read! Thanks! I grabbed them at $50 along with a set of criss-crossed style balls that looked like they'd make play a little more challenging...or just hard to see...lol I figured if I use these every now and then for shear enjoyment, they will be worth it as long...

    Vigma billiard ball quality?

Those are some very strong points. Here's typically how I feel about most everything I buy; I'm not going to spend money on something if it's not going to last and I'll end up having to spend my hard earned cash again to replace it. Seems kind of foolish. As long as these can be used and I am...

    Vigma billiard ball quality?

Ok, so I know Aramith is big because of their Phenolic resin but is polyurethane that bad? I mean, if it's well taken care of?
