    Don Sherman / sureman183

Hopefully some of his good customers will mention this thread to him at his booth, and he'll realize he needs to make this right. Good luck in a resolution Chris. Rodney----hint, hint

    Kamui killing me

I've had similar problems in the past. Priming the tip, and leaving the tip under presure for at least 3 minutes solved the problem. Rodney

    Cue Maker "Core/Standard" Specifications

Everyone's different. You should get some calipers, and measure your favorite cues, then you can have "your" standard to compare to other cues you may purchase. Rodney

    Are you happy?

Hell no, I'm not happy with it, but I accept it for what it is. I'll probably never be happy with it. When your young, and can play 40 hours a week, you have the time and ambition to play well. Then at some point you realize there's more to life than a pool hall, like family and friends...

Sloppy and incompetent work by Jim Pierce, poor customer service

This is a no brainer. I have no idea if Mr. Pierce is trustworthy or not, and don't care. But since your cue is not collectable, and the value won't be hurt by having someone else finish it, I'd sent it to Ryan at Muellers. Rodney---sure this was the answer you were looking for.

Should there be glue on my ferrule

I always make sure to clean the ferrule before I take off the old tip. This ensures I won't get any cleaner residue on the ferrule after I face it, and if I don't wipe the excess glue off fast enough(haven't had it happen), it doesn't have chalk under it. Rodney

is this normal wear or abuse ?

Looks like he broke it over his knee! Tell him the truth. There's no way it just came apart that way while he was breaking, unless he put it over his knee first!

    A Cautionary Tale...

My daughter made some for me, it was pretty easy really. Just tip it over on a concrete(or really hard) floor(like my basement was), and if there's any dirt or sand, the pock's come out wonderfull!

hey what should a 13mm shaft weigh?

I was just trying to provoke a little thought.

hey what should a 13mm shaft weigh?

My playing shaft is a little more than 3 oz. Its straight grained, and pretty stiff for its taper. Would you think it played better if I made it 4 oz. or more?
