Shelter for Homeless and/or Orphaned Avatars?

I don't know if anyone else has noticed but my AZer friend, Cuebuddy, seems to have gone wild turning vegetables grown in his garden into avatars. So what happens when these vegetables are retired? Do they slowly rot away somewhere under 'My Documents'? Why not use your new website...

Playing in tourneys with no sleep

A few thoughts: Get as much sleep as you can a day or two before the tourney. I think it helps even though there is supposedly no such thing as a "sleep bank". Force yourself to have some quiet time prior to playing. Don't try to do much just because you are awake and energized hours before a...

    Introducing EINSTEIN-NINE - The Player's Game

When I first started playing E9 I found that great safeties (doh) were much better than good ones. With an "Iron Maiden" safe I only need one to get BIH. And of course, 3 consecutive fouls by your opponent is one of the ways to win. At my level, I am generally not winning games by shooting 3...

    bottle pool

The bottle I remember from the '60's was red plastic and had a much longer and thinner neck than current bottles. I had a group of guys over the other night and we played some bottle pool. Not too many games out there that are tolerable to play with 5 or 6 guys, IMHO.

3C - wish someone would have told me...

Aren't the rail cushions different (bounce charateristics) on the 3C table? If I am remembering this correctly, that is why a complete set of replacement rails is the solution.

3C - wish someone would have told me...

A couple of weeks ago I played 3C for the first time in probably 20 years. Felt good about having one run of 3 and two runs of 2 in a game to 10. Watching some of the other players made me realize how much I had forgotten about the game. It's truly a great game. Too bad their aren't more 3C...

    Introducing EINSTEIN-NINE - The Player's Game

I would love to see a couple of top players square off playing Einstein Nine! This game can take its players so far "down the rabbit hole" that when a player gets any kind of open shot they're excited about the chance to execute. Normal pool typically requires a player to think about 2 or 3...

    Introducing EINSTEIN-NINE - The Player's Game

LoL, probably not as much as you'd think :-) Since this game doesn't lend itself to being televised, played by leaugers, etc. Al may have to wait awhile to collect any $$$.

    Introducing EINSTEIN-NINE - The Player's Game

Einstein-Nine - The Player's Game Overview Fellow Az'er, Cuebuddy, and his longtime buddy John G., work together as truck drivers plowing the heavy winter snows of the central Colorado mountains. In their breakroom is a pool table that sees a lot of daily play. However, these two plow jockeys...

For under 8k what table would you buy?

I like my Gold Crow 4 a lot. Mint ones can be had for $3K or less. The GC has a lot of desgn/style details that should keep it desireable for many years. Pay to have the best table mechanic you can afford, do the setup. I used RealKingCobra for mine and got the deal of a lifetime, IMHO. RKC...

Did Brunswick Fix The GC4 Frame?

Here is a pic of what RKC did to fix my GC4 table. I haven't had any trouble with my table. And yes, RKC will do it right. BTW, he likes home-cooked fried chicken. _____________________________ The Player's Game http://www.einstein-nine.com

Thanks, Dave. For us old guys that can't see or stroke as good as we used to, one pocket might be the better call anyway. Thanks for the info.

    Heading down to Denver

My buddy and I were going to go down to Denver to play in a tournament they were having at Rack'em Billiards in Aurora, at 11AM this morning. Seems as if the tournament has been postponed. BUt we plan on going down anyway and just do some shooting today and Sunday. Anybody know of anything...
