With 860 cloth, clean balls and dry conditions I sometimes notice that the CB will slide (skip) after hitting it. In other words, the ball is skidding for a few inches across the cloth before it starts to roll naturally. This skipping can cause the ball to deflect sideways and/or produce a funny...

After getting the Banking with the Beard, (2) DVD set, I try not to hit the CB dead center. According to the video, hitting the CB dead center can cause the CB to skip. Skipping happens occassionally enough on my table to where this was good advice to know.

Just in case this hasn't been done before...what about somebody doing a book or dvd using the pool table as the physics classroom? Geared towards kids this could be a great way to get young people interested in pool and possibly help get pool into schools.
