    Alignment aid on ferrule?

When I "discovered" this idea, I found that somebody had already patented it. What has been will be again, what has been done will be done again; there is nothing new under the sun. Ecclesiastes 1:9

Do you habitually line-up with the tip slightly off-center on cb..

Might I suggest you get a high-speed video camera, do your own testing and share your results with us. Example: http://dr-dave-billiards.com/high_speed_video/hsv_dvd.html

Do you habitually line-up with the tip slightly off-center on cb..

With 860 cloth, clean balls and dry conditions I sometimes notice that the CB will slide (skip) after hitting it. In other words, the ball is skidding for a few inches across the cloth before it starts to roll naturally. This skipping can cause the ball to deflect sideways and/or produce a funny...

Do you habitually line-up with the tip slightly off-center on cb..

After getting the Banking with the Beard, (2) DVD set, I try not to hit the CB dead center. According to the video, hitting the CB dead center can cause the CB to skip. Skipping happens occassionally enough on my table to where this was good advice to know.

Which cue fits your hustling style?

I just thought it might be fun to challenge some existing assumptions...and float the idea of a Bud cue sleeper. I agree that you don't *need* a cue to hustle, heck, most of us probably could beat the average banger with a broomstick. But if it enhances the persona that you are creating, then...

Which of the following (3) cues would most closely match your hustling style? 1) Sneakiest Pete cue. 2) Budweiser Graphics or Eagle Cane cue. A really good cue disguised as a Budweiser cue or a cane with an eagle's head (see drug buyers cane in Easy Rider). 3) One Piece Player's cue by a...

Made a HDR (yes 'a' is proper) of my friends room

Nice photo and effect! The photo has a great feel to it and the HDR in combo with the film grain is interesting in the warmth that it creates. The empty space in the lower right bugs me a bit. If it were mine I'd consider doing one or more of the following: Make a copy of the ceiling and...

What is the progression to being a great player?

My chiropracter was on the golf team in college. When he was a freshman, the older guys could do anything to him while they were playing as long as they didn't touch him. After a year of that, he said he didn't ever rattle again.

What is the progression to being a great player?

If, you've already done all of the following: Played 6 or more hours per/day for 6 months. You are disciplined and spend your practice time wisely. Consistently play better players. Then, you should be a fairly decent player at this point. So, the short answer is, that to be truly great need...

    Physics for Kids - Book/DVD?

Just in case this hasn't been done before...what about somebody doing a book or dvd using the pool table as the physics classroom? Geared towards kids this could be a great way to get young people interested in pool and possibly help get pool into schools.

    pool in Martha's Vineyard

I had a good friend who was born and raised on the island and my uncle has a place out there as well, but I've never been so I can't help you out with any first-hand details. A couple of things though...apparently things can get pretty crowded out there in season. You probably don't want to be...
