    Who should make this cue?

I want to have made a full splice bocote (or is that bacote?) sneaky pete style cue with bocote joint collars and some simple ring work. Also, I would like to have the cuemaker fit an OB-1 shaft with matching joint collar and ring. What are your thoughts about who I should get to make this...

    printable pool table

I made a template using a very nice free drawing program called Inkscape. Below are two examples. If anyone is interested, I can share the template and you can make diagrams like these by moving balls around, drawing lines, placing targets for the CB, illustrating the english on the CB, etc...

    AZ Ebay black list.

If the guy feels he has been screwed, he has a right to state his side of the story. Mr. Engles, likewise, can state his rebuttal, if he feels the claim is not valid. Since Roy has advertised his accusation on the website of his business, I believe Mr. Engles would have legal recourse to seek...

    AZ Ebay black list.

There has been a big stink about negative comments regarding www.petswarehouse.com posted on the aquatic plants (as in for fish tanks) mailing list, which resulted in a litany of lawsuits. I'm pretty sure the guy (Robert Novak) hasn't won any of them and the lawsuits are totally frivolous, but...

Problem with distance on cut shots

Yeah, so how do I fix that? How can I make the attachment appear as only a file name instead of displaying the image directly?

Problem with distance on cut shots

I agree with the Grinder, stand taller. Also, visualize a target in line with the pocket and just a few inches from the OB, and focus on sending the ball through that target- once you visualize that line, just put the pocket out of your mind completely. Finally, don't forget about throw on...

    Escrow - Valuable Advice

I've seen this before too. I just point out that in this life it's often risky to trust your friends and family. Trusting a stranger, or someone you know only through the internet is just plain naive, especially when it comes to money. It's nothing personal, just a fact of life that one must...

    Poor Service

IMHO, the real problem here is the lack of communication. These things can't always be avoided: shipping delays are not always controllable and orders may be misplaced from time to time, etc. However, prompt responses are an essential component of basic customer service.

    Escrow - Valuable Advice

I just briefly glanced at their site, and their service seems like an excellent option. Since they do inspection and photographing independently, it would avoid the possibility of a seller claiming "it wasn't in that condition when I shipped, the buyer must have damaged it" etc. But for...

    My first good Screwing

You don't have to go that far: take a look at the thread I just posted in the Wanted/ For Sale forum about Escrow. lenox, you should see that thread too; it won't help you this time, but now that you have learned your lesson, the info I posted there will help you avoid this problem in the future.

    Escrow - Valuable Advice

I just read lenoxmjs's post about his bad experience buying a Skip Weston on Ebay, and it made me wonder if AZers know about and/ or use escrow to buy and sell cues. Those that have, please share your thoughts on this service. For those who don't know what I am talking about, you should...

Introduction book for beginner ! Need help...

I've been playing about six months now, and Capelle's Play Your Best Pool has been a great aid for me. I highly recommend it! I just noticed that he has a new one coming out called Practicing Pool. You can view the Table of Contents and a "Sneak Peak" on his website. It looks like it will be...

    Titan Shafts

With that metal rod down the center, I bet they squirt the cueball something fierce if you miss centerball. In one of his articles about squirt, Bob Jewett mentions an experiment using shafts with a metal insert, and they caused major squirt.

    best cue cleaning method?

You should talk to Pete Lafond of Slipstic about this. He makes alot of sense. I believe his view on the rubbing alcohol is that it can dry out the wood too much. Anyway, FWIW, here's my method. It works great for me: Q-Wiz rough side, Slipstic cleaner, thorough burnish w/ Q-Wiz smooth...

Please could all you pool experts help me on finding a cue ?

For a playing cue, the shaft is the most important consideration, followed by balance, IMHO. That said, here's my recomendation in your price range: http://www.vikingcue.com/pages/cues/f98.html Viking cues have a nice shaft and many options, so you can have it just the way you like it. 19oz...
