I put them in a cue for the first time today. When clamp the cue up they just all came apart. The pressure or the epoxy made them just fall apart. Any suggestions?
I don't get a chance much to build cues for guys on the forum.
Bocote full splice blank.
White phenolic joint.
Black join collars with silver rings.
Two brown phenolic decorative rings with silver ring.
Short black phenolis butt cap.
Butt weight 16.3 oz
Shaft weight 4.6 oz
SO What Do You Think...
I think that is a real lite conversion. Some maker machined the pin on a original titlist. Also they added a weight bolt and new wrap. Best of luck this will be a hard one.
You know what it takes. Cutting the collar off the shaft and threading the stainless collar on the butt. Also threading new collars on the shaft with the alum ring. Joint size may be a problem with thick walled stainless joint. You may need a custom sized thin wall collar. It could be sleeved...
That wouldnt be that bad. Things you would have to know to do that job.
What size is your cue at the joint?
Is the pin on center?
who made the cue? Not need but was wondering?

Here one I just did with that pin.
Yes I have one and love it. I have the auto feed on my lathe. I also have the digital read outs. You can't beat the Thompson rods. Everything is dead nuts on my lathe. That is saying alot for a small lathe.
