Kielwood Cue Shaft - Possibly F/S

The most important smallest word in the world is what started your post…..”IF”…..and so when I decide, I will act. However, at the moment, I’m enjoy playing with that shaft and there aren’t many of Cory’s RMS shafts available and he only makes radial pin shafts so he has a much smaller...

    Cool racks.................

The Delta Elite also has simple indexing on the top sides of the rack that lets yo see you’ve evenly positioned the rack.

    Cool racks.................

Get some leather inserts. It makes a very big difference and looks cool too. The inserts absorb some the the vibration that resonates into a metallic sound. It truly does soften the rack noise and you can rack away without any sound discomfort.

    As anyone tried Yesglasses Masters

When you see your optometrist, ask him for a billiards prescription. It is a combination of a reading and distance prescription formulas. If you need glasses for reading, he’d be weakening that prescription. If you also needed eyewear for distance viewing, the optometrist would simply strengthen...

    Kielwood Shaft Search

If anyone hasn’t been able to locate a Kielwood shaft that is heavier than most other KW shafts you see, ex. 3.8-4.2 ozs., and the KW shaft is solid wood (uncored) without any inserts to reach the desired 4 oz. weight range, this is very doable but only if you choose the right person to build...

Things to consider for those forum members buying their first pool cue

If you like revolvers, here are a few of my favorites to shoot. The S&W guns a were made in 1977 so they are classics. The Model 29 is basically a Dirty Harry model with a 6.5” barrel and the 27 is the highly sought after 5” version. Both are just a gas to shoot and produce flame thrower...

    Proficient Billiards Cue Repair?

I have heard nothing but rave reviews about Proficient Billiards since joining this Forum quite awhile ago. The best part is I have never read or heard about a single complaint over the quality of their work. Ned Morris also does cue repairs and restorations for Cornerstone Cues so he’s another...

    Kielwood Shaft Search

Smart to not inquire….it is what it is,…. It will be a bigger treat once you know it’s shipped and you start counting the days until arrival….please let us know how it turns out. Information becomes more worthwhile when shared, IMO.

A lot of us are that way and for those if not now, wait awhile. As the decades start adding up, your patience quota recedes accordingly. This becomes increasingly apparent when it involves a impulse purchase, IMO.

pool balls wider at the numbers- ?

Truer words have seldom been spoken……besides, most dermatologists will tell you that dirty balls have long been known to be a major reason for getting a very nasty crotch rash.

    Kielwood Shaft Search

That is what a lot of cue makers told me had to be done because torrefication renders the cue lighter. My response was why not just start with a heavier blank? The math validates that it should not be difficult and apparently I was right. Adding weight is necessary when the blank selected is...

    Kielwood Shaft Search

BTW, the original maple shafts I replaced are the very same physical specs as the 3 Kielwood shafts I had made. If it is blasphemy to put an aftermarket shaft on a custom cue, there are tens of thousands of cues using CF shafts. Gosh, there are a lot of sinners that feel differently. Isn’t it...

    Kielwood Shaft Search

I did…….. Jacoby took awhile to make the shafts and unfortunately there was a miscommunication on their part. I was notified about 4-5 weeks ago the shafts were done and were only 3.6 ozs. Obviously, that was an enormous miss and I notified Jacoby Cues I was not interested and would find another...

Source for Eyeglasses Allison Fisher was wearing this past weekend

The prescription part is easy and getting the lenses made is simple. All you have to do is engage a optometrist to help figure out what it should be. The choice of frames is enormous and you can go to any eyeglass store to get your prescription filled. With no disrespect to anyone but I have yet...

Are You Capable Of Building A Heavy Version KW Shaft?

I know that SCDiver2112 just made one and he told me awhile back he’s done this. I recall him making, or at least I think it was, building a curly wood version that was so friggin’ handsome I wanted it immediately but it was the wrong thread. Besides, I’ve seen his cue workmanship and it is spot...

Things to consider for those forum members buying their first pool cue

BTW….the weight range ratio is 18-22%……doesn’t mean 17 or 23% is wrong. I would have thought by now educated minds would recognize there’s no right or wrong when it comes to what you like, as long as it is legal. The best minds agree ivory is unique and plays differently than any other...

Things to consider for those forum members buying their first pool cue

Bob, I am talking about a single ounce bolt in the bottom of the cue butt versus say 2 or 3 seven gram small weights spaced 3-5 inches apart within the butt. If my cue maker had to rely on more than say 1/4 - 1/2 oz. of weight bolts building my cue they did a poor job of building what I want. I...

Things to consider for those forum members buying their first pool cue

Bob, doesn’t the fulcrum point change? When you change your grip position for different shots, you can tell the balance is affected if you had a heavy, not just any, but a heavy weight bolt that I’d describe as 1 oz or heavier. I can feel the difference in some of my cues that don’t have any...

Things to consider for those forum members buying their first pool cue

I think anytime you can neutralize the additional weight by distributing and positioning the added weight in locations otherwise not considered before is a very good thing. When I say neutralize, I am referring to not having any form of added weight in one specific region, unless that was what...

Things to consider for those forum members buying their first pool cue

Manson…..coring the butt is not hard……a cue maker that uses a single 1 oz bolt in a 18 oz. pool cue so a customer can receives a 19 oz. cue they want is not doing the customer any favors. At least distribute the weight within the butt and that’s not asking for much if the cue comes that short of...
