    CF infused Torrified shafts.

I became a Sunoco 260 consumer back in 1968 when I bought my 1st car after graduating college. It was a 1968 Dodge Charger R/T 426 Hemi that boosted the HP over the 440 engine by 50 horses. Bought it at Reidman’s in Pennslyvania. Drove down for Brooklyn, picked a car from their huge lots and...

    Cue Tip Compression

Spending $20-25 for a tip and another $20-25 for installation is perfectly reasonable and entirely justifiable. But only if you are installing the correct tip hardness. Too hard or soft a tip is horrible investment to make. A lesson isn’t needed to decide what tip hardness your prefer. It merely...

    Wood over CF shaft options

My entire life I’ve played with original maple shafts that were made for my pool cues. I finally tried Kielwood shafts a year ago after hearing that another version of wood shafts was available. I called several cue makers, including ones I previously had bought cues from. I proceeded to try...

    Cue Tip Compression

Glue globs to the cue ball?….I’ve been playing pool across the nation in different cities having lived in different states. My pool playing started in 1961 in Brooklyn, N.Y. where I was born right after WWII. Been playing pool over 6 decades. I’ve never seen a cue tip impart anything to a cue...

Little custom butt-cap work for a friend

Very creative…..Cudos……but the contrast doesn’t quite click for me. Looks more like a laptop or tablet screen saver that froze up. I think for the joint, you’d need to go with a lighter tone or color & even a solid color with a design would be a better fit or perhaps a stacked different colors...

Little custom butt-cap work for a friend

The jury is still out in my courtroom. Could become distracting but absolutely very novel. Still gotta see the final cue.

    For Sale- Magic Chalk

The price is fantastic and it is a darn good chalk that’s been usurped as the #1 chalk in favor of TAOM chalk that’s also come down in price.

    Shaft length

Isn’t that splitting hairs…….is it more conical shape or more pro taper? Which ever it is, then that’s what you label it.

    Wood over CF shaft options

You need to investigate Kielwood shafts that are the future of wood shafts, IMO. Far superior to maple shafts in terms of durability, hit and much lower deflection. I will not impose my views about KW shafts. Got my 1st KW last October and have two brand new KW shafts arriving this...

    Pro Cut Pockets

Only way to go if you want your pool game to elevate……afterward, regular pockets look too big and are easier to play.

    Shaft length

One of the things that fails to be adequately considered is the factor of time. How much is the cue maker’s time worth? How much would you pay a master carpenter for his time? I can’t speak about CF but wood shafts requires measuring, shaping and finishing. If you order a extra large 20”...

Does this joint pin look misaligned?

    Yes…..it does not correct.

    3/8*10 pin size

Most cue makers use the regular 3/8x10 pin but could accommodate requests for other pins, like modified 3/8. I don’t it make a tinkers damn difference between the two pins but radial pin is always a very good alternative.

    3/8*10 pin size

It may or may not fit……sometimes it doesn’t work out so just be mentally prepared if that were to happen.

    Made some acrylic ferrules

There’s a market, albeit a small one, for a variety of ferrule colors if you can come up with something. I think you’d be better off sticking to only a few colors and see if you can come up with a durable, stain resistant ferrule that has the best compression properties, durability and...

    Big pin ivory joint hit

Dean’s post is absolutely spot on…….I miss his showmanship style about pool cues. Here’s my Scruggs big pin; it’d be hard to part with it for any price it plays that nice.

    Danny Mulhollen sneaky pete

If I didn’t already own a Sneaky Pete cue, this is one I’d get. The shaft and butt combination is fantastic. All my cues are 58” but I’d adjust to 60” pretty easily. Heck, it only involves using a different grip position anyway and the weight of this cue is the same as all my other cues. It also...

    4Sale: ⭐️🔥🔥Bob Manzino cue🔥🔥⭐️

Spectacular design by a very talented cue maker. This is a one of a kind cue that deserves to be a showpiece in a collection and the cue you’d want to play with too. Manzino is a prestigious name known for flawless execution.

Soft hitting custom cue maker cues?

So you were referring to where the shaft size proportionately increases down the length on 29” of wood, i.e., shaft. Absolutely agree….my cues have an a slightly extended pro taper of 14-15 inches regardless of the shaft diameter. I make it a point to also have heavier weight shafts since the...

Soft hitting custom cue maker cues?

I think Tomahawk is what I’d choose if I were to get another cue built.
