I have a six pointer. I would sell.It has standard veneers not his single side like some of the newer ones. It has a ivory butt cap and joint collar three shafts. Black stack leather wrap and very near perfect condition. It is coco. 570 847 7768 I will try to post pics.
I just cut a cue up one with that joint to make a conversion. It had some really nice butter fly points in it. Customer told me it was a snooker cue. Looked import to me.
Longer is better , but their are some other things also to consider. Age of lathe , bed condition , chuck quality , is it a quick change gear box, tool post. There are other but these came to mind.
I use a taig based lathe for tapering. I use my unique cue builder for my pins. I can put them in with less then 2 thousands run out. That is using a 3/8 11 pin with a .380 self centering barrel. I can't do very well will standard v 3/8 10 ,but they roll true. I have a metal lathe but it is...
Yes snipershot tried to do that!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Cue building is very expensive!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
The more and better tools you have make it alot easier.
Its still hard with $15000.00 invested.
Thats my story!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I talk to Bill tonite. There is very little wood and mostly large tool Cnc lathe. Also a a Cnc milling machine. The stuff is a little out of my league. Bill was very nice good luck with the sale.
I learned from Hal it did help me greatly. I was first introduced to the system by Tom Simpson. Let people make their living. I'm sure there is things that all the instructor could teach everyone of us. Also have learned from Ronny V. Also Tom Monoski.
What is the cost on this cue? You might be able to get a low cost custom sneaky for the cost of the production cue. But you will be happy with the quality of the Lucasi.
