    2 rail snooker escapes

There is a thread on the main forum about the importance of 3-rail shots to escape snookers in 9-ball. Yet I've noticed that in snooker 2 rail escapes tend to be used more. Can anyone explain why that would be?

    Great thread!

My take on the 3 rail shot and why, in my opinion, it's one of the most important shots in pool...

Interesting that snooker players seem much more likely to use 2-rail kicks to escape snookers than 3-railers. Any snooker players out there know why that is?

AZ use to be mostly Pool n Cue Sports

Oh, save me from myself, save me from myself. This is like the media complaining about all the coverage the Petito/Laundrie cases is getting compared to missing POC when they themselves determine the coverage.

    World series of poker

They must have changed the masking policy, because I watched some of Daniel Negraneau´s vlogs and the players are mixed, some masked some not masked.

What Books/ Materials is your go to to study 3C diagrams????

I´m not a very good player, and for me personally the only system that has helped me make an extra point, here and there, is the Spot on the Wall system.

    Caudron run of 32

When I lived in CO there was a Korean room that had 1 10 footer with fast 3C style cloth and about 4 8-footers with slower cloth that were used primarily for 4 ball billiards. Straight rail would be fine on an 8 footer. Balkline would also work fine, once you figured out the proportional...

Buy a carom or pool table?

The problems with that theory are 1) changing rails takes significant efforts, and 2) there is no cloth that is suitable for all three disciplines.

Buy a carom or pool table?

Most European 3C players start out on 8 foot tables. When I went to the 3C World Championship in Bordeaux I met a guy from Holland who told me that hed́ been playing 3C for years but had only been allowed to play on a 10 foot table for the last couple of years. In his club you have to achieve...

Disagree. The perfect is the enemy of the good.

Buy a carom or pool table?

You can find pool tables to play on anywhere, but carom tables are much more scarce, so I think carom is the way to go.

    Caudron run of 32

On a small table, so I don't know if it really is a world record for 8 ft. tables. But it is still lovely to watch:

    Cauldron run of 32

Albeit on a small table. I don't know if it is really a world record on an 8 ft. table, but it is still a lovely run. PS: duh, Caudron.

    Judd is bad for pool

Just making balls is not the whole game in snooker, either. Maybe it is the pool fans that don't fully understand.

    Judd is bad for pool

I kind of doubt whether any top US pool player would be able to win their first 3 matches in any top tier snooker event.
